it was well maintained but do elantra engines die at only 100,000 miles on it even though it as well maintained. also do they cause a lot powertrain problems shortly after they hit 75,000 miles.
please only elantra owners answer esspecially if you have one with more than 100,000 miles on it.

They are always in a hurry or too occupied to pay attention to the road. Especially people in the hampton roads of virginia!!!

Vehicle has a 1.8 16 valve DOHC. When idling, it slightly revs up and down and up and down repeatedly. What could be causing this? Please..........reputable mechanics or Hyundai techs answer please. I do believe this is beyond the knowledge of the backyard mechanic.

John R had the best answer to the number 1 cylinder question,Tom I had the dummest, I know the answer and John R could find number one on any engine I dont think tom I could ! Who knows what kind of damage was made. Don't want to be stuck with payments for the next five years knowing the car might not be safe, compromised performance, unforeseen issues, and factory warranty out the window. I believe this will need to be taken to court if my car is not replaced, since “fixing”, or making it “look nice” is not remotely acceptable. Any comments on this one would be greatly appreciated.

think about it... if we ride horses or bikes for our day to day chores... such as go to work.... go to school. ... go to the store and etc.. we can definitely save ourselves from pollution... oil crisis and we would definitely be in better shape... we only use motor vehicles to move big transports or fly from place to place.

I just installed a new throttle body spacer and the check engine soon light came on due to it reading a "lean Bank". Can I take the battery loose so that the system compter can learn new perameters? If not, then what can I doo besides buying a $300.00 programmer? Thanks in advance!

Mm.. I was driving and changed the gears TOO fast, (automatic car) and like.. after that the freaking thing is going too fast, even on parking gear the motor works as if I was pressing the gas and it's scary, is wasting too much gas and I don't need to even press the gas to reach highway speeds...

I took it to a mech and they started saying they needed to change like 50 things on the car which didn't make sense to me, 3 friends already told me that I only need to buy a "gas sprint" to replace it.. then other guys told me the gas was stuck.. so I dunno what to do, anyone has an idea of WTF is going on with my car o__0?

I wanna buy a japanese, i dislike american cars, i have had them for 10 years and all i got was pain from them. What car should i buy, i have 2 options, but a car close to 7-8 grand cash or buy a preowned car and finance it. I like the honda accord, toyota camry and nissan maxima, i dont like the shape of civic and corolla and acura's seem to be expensive. Please help me with my dicision process. Please do not pursuade me to buy american cars cause enough is enough.

my car started acting up, first the battery light came on, then the ABS, brake, etc. The wipers went slow, windows slow. I thought it was the battery and i got a new one. The battery light came on again after i installed the new battery. I drove home, the abs light came on and then just when i reached home, the lights on the dash board started getting dimmer and he car finally died. Is it the alternator? and do you think the alternator drained my entire new batter? cause the car wont start up again. I wanna return the new battery if its the alternator at fault and how do i start it in the morning. Please help.
