i think that it would be wise of u to buy a vw jetta as its much cheaper than the bmw.u probably wouldnt need many unnecessary features in the bmw.the jetta has much better fuel economy and its a diesel if money concerns u.the jetta has loads of space than the bmw and the jetta's engine is one of the best in class but if u want the luxury and status icon go for the bmw.

For a teenage boy? A BMW? Give me a break. A teenage boy should have a junker until they prove they are responsible enough to even be on the road. Even then I would never buy my child a BMW or any other type of luxury vehicle. This world is messed up....

Anything but a small sporty car like you mention. You need a car that has cheaper parts, is larger and safer in a wreck. A large or mid size domestic car is your best bet. Chevy Lumina or Old intrigue comes to mind, but a Ford Taurus is also a safe bet. The VW or BMW's are nice, but are not forgiving on missing oil changes or maintenance. I was seventeen and got in horrible accident that nearly totaled my my car, but I walked away. I was very inexperienced as well as any teenager. The insurance rates are something else you need to consider as well.

How about a 1991 honda accord. I have one for sale for just under $2k, paints in need of a little TLC, but the interior and the engine are in great shape, even has an after-market CD player with detachable face and aftermarket speakers. Automatic trans. with power windows/mirrors, cruise, etc. dependable car for the price and has automatic seat belts which is an automatic insurance discount....

A acura integra LS/GSR coupen are u crazy???? Thaey are fast inless you want the kid to get himself in trouble or hurt.... I cant believe someone said that wow.... Unbelievable... I myself wouldnt buy anything realy nice or costy.. Buy something like a small toyota older version just to see how well he takes care of that then after time move up or let him get a job and get something better on his on.. U can just provide the first car to get him to point and b like to work and back so he can get on his own and buy better things like things he wants that u cant afford or like things u refuse to buy... But a acura integra LS/GSR coupen is not 4 a teenage boy not at all nothing fast is in my head.. I just think 2day teens need to be independent or they will depend on others 4 ever...

See what you can afford to drive and insure. It does not matter , but try to get a dependable one , you have a tough life ahead of you. The biggest advise I give my young employees is if you want a hot rod get 2 cars , one to get to work ,it does not have to be anything fancy , just dependable. If you cant afford 2 then you cant afford a hot rod.
