why would a blind person be driving?

How safe is it to give out your driver's license? Is it possible for people who know it to trace everything like your phone number, where you live, SS#, etc just by knowing the Driver's License # even though they never seen my actual license??

If so how are they doing that?

No matter what..and this is with several friends who are car salesman....I feel as though I'm getting hosed. I only felt I got a good deal once..buying a car for my mother years ago from a dealership owned by a friend.
