I have had insurance for 20+ years. I recently called them to tell them I had moved. For the first time EVER they are insisting (through phone calls, mail and email) that I MUST give them information on who I live with and what THEIR car insurance is. I don't want to give this out. Can they cancel my insurance? Has anyone ever heard of this?

Seeing as how every podunk mail-stop with an oil well thinks they're 'all that' these days, are you willing to help the problem by easing off the gas pedal? Would you cut back on your driving, if you could/if it was practical?

Over the past few months, my car has stalled 4 times. It has never stalled before that and I am worried that there is something wrong. Yesterday when it stalled I was at a busy intersection and had a lot of trouble restarting it. At first I thought it was the heat, but yesterday it wasn't hot out when it stalled. None of the warning lights are lit up on the dashboard.

I'm planning on taking my car to the mechanic, but I've already been tricked out of a lot of money by a skeezy mechanic so I want to go in knowing what I am talking about.

It is a 97 Nissan Altima if that helps. Thanks!

I bought a new 2006 car from a dealer 8 weeks ago. I traded in my old car since then my old car co has been hounding me left and right about payoff, i keep calling the dealership where i bought my car to send the payoff they keep lying to me i get all sorts of stories from them what can i do?? what are my options its affecting my credit now and im getting more and more late my old company is saying , i used to have a perfect record with them but now their is nothing i can do i cant afford all the late fees plus the payment to wait for my dealership to send the payoff....please help!! i call them and ask for managers and their managers and nothing seems to be working!!

I only hear the sound when I turn. My car doesn't shake or have any other things wrong with it, that I can see. It just makes a rattling noise. What could this be?

It's a VW GTI..small but fast. However, I can't stand seeing behemoth cars rumbling around, wasting expensive gas, ruining the environment. But if I take my car out to the track, would that be the pot calling the kettle black???

Tuesday night/Wednesday morning I was driving home on a 2 lane road when I came upon an intersection, I had a green light and proceeded down the road. As I was coming through the intersection, I see another car going over 70 MPH from the other direction and saw that she was not going to stop at her red light. I slammed on the brakes, but we still hit and my car is totalled. I am okay - just some minor scrapes from the air bag.

I have been in 2 wrecks before (where I was driving) and a couple of arguable worse ones but this is the first one that wasn't my fault. What scares me is that I was just driving down the road and out of no where - I get into a huge wreck. The others didn't scare me as bad since they were my fault and I knew I could have prevented them. It scares me that I can just be driving down the road not doing anything wrong and this happened. Like I said, I've been in worse but this one has really shaken me up.

Any advice on how to get over this?

i bought a 1989 toyota celica gt4 with a suspected blown headgaskett, i hired a mobile mechanic to put it together as it looked a bit harder that most cars to do , the headgasket was blown big time and bent so we bought a new one had everythign skimmed and straightened all put back together and it was fine . now gradually white smoke has began to pour out the exhaust, and now it is so bad the whole street is covered in white smoke, and the cap inside popped off . please help as i have no money left to take to a gargae and going to attempt to fix myself, so in your replies can you be as detailed as possible so that i would be able to try. thanks guys really stuck if you need anymore info email me on Lusciouslisa666@hotmail.com thanks

I have a Civic 99, I want to install a full cat back exhaust system, mid pipe, high performance manifold, and a Loud *** Muffler. How many horse power will it give me? Like 200 HP? I'm installing a cold air intake, it said will will give me 50 extra horse power, and also I have NGK spark plugs and a cool body kit.

I am wanting to do a trade in for a better used car. The way cars are priced now days there is no point buying the car brand new by the time I pay it off the car will be worse off than any used one I buy.
