unfortunatly, good ol Elbow Grease.
Go to the local Automotive store and get some rubbing compound and a really good Carnuba based wax. Apply 2 coats of rubbing compound and buff it out really good, then apply the wax. this should take care of all the oxidation on the paint and make it glossy. I recommend Meguires products. always had very good success with them. Good Luck!

rust happens. LOL But, to keep it from happening, the best treatment is to work on the rusty spot and get it down to bare metal, prime it, and re-paint it as close as you can to the color of the rest of the car....get someone to look under the car too, look for other corrosion spots..

you mean from battery terminals? if then lemon juice and baking soda and a wire brush. to help prevent it place a couple of pennies next to the terminals so they absorb any rotting. depending on how you drive or what driving conditions your under the coins should still be in place
