Ok. we plan on moving from Chicago to Orlando, cuz even with two jobs here in Chicago, its very very hard to make ends meet. People from florida tell me its exspensive there, but believe it is not in Orlando compared to Chicago! We wanna move there in August, gives us time to save some money, we wanna be able to pay off 4-6 months of rent. We wanna rent something small to start off with. Found a nice comlex in Altamonte Springs,Fl, they offer a good priced rent. However, niether of us have a job out there. How do u move to another city without having a job there? what are the steps we need to take? how should we plan this? how much money should we have? any advice would help! just dont tell us how exspensive Florida is, I payed 900$ out here, for a two bedroom apartment, not including utilities, and it was in the ghetto, there was no pool, and no workout room, like the complexes have in Florida! everything is high here!

I'm trying to rent my condo out, and I want to avoid any riff raff. How do I check someone's credit before I rent to them? Is there some agency or some website that I can pay in order to get their credit history?

I bought a $300.000 condo in Concord, CA. Zero down. For 7 months I paid every bill on time - mortgages, HOA and taxes until... "TAXCO Condominiums Association" told us that we MUST pay $20.500 special assessment.

My realtor had told me nothing about possible coming special assessment. I lived from paycheck to paycheck and had to leave the property.

I didn't pay ANY bills until my property was foreclosed by "Deutsche Bank National Trust Company" on 11-16-2006.

Today, AFTER ONE YEAR it was foreclosed, I received a letter from "Allied Trustee Services." They say that I owe "prior the date when the property was foreclosed... delinquent in payment of the assessments, late charges..." $24.773.08

I can agree that I owe HOA monthly payments until the property was foreclosed but special assessment?

They told me they gonna bring me to court. Can they? What should I do? Fight with them? Go bankrupt? What about the HOA monthly payments that I owe? How can I separate this payment, should I?

We're looking to relocate to the Menomonee Falls/Germantown, WI area. We'd like to find a home or duplex to rent. Any ideas on how to find a home for rent in that area? Anyone from that area have any suggestions on neighborhoods? We have two children and are moving from Indianapolis, IN.

I'm looking for an apartment, but I want to live near a highway (I-93 in MA) so my commute to work is good. I tried googling, and I get way too many sites. Basically, I want a site where I say, I want to live less than two minutes from I-93 in certain towns (e.g. Cambridge), and up pops all the apartments, complexes, listings, etc.).

Thanks

The 10-yr treasury note's index value is 3.9 (on 11/28/07). I thought that the home mortgage rates are pegged to this note.
Why are the home mortgages still at 5.8 to 6.0 %?

Im buying a house for 170k, that is appraised at 240k and my lender is now saying that i need PMI insurance or 40k down because without 40k down im above 80% LTV.

This dosent make sense because im purchasing a home with existing equity, even with a 20k down payment im at 62%LTV because of what the home is appraised for.

Can someone please explain this to me.

I live in an apartment , in a very safe neighborhood where the firestaion if less then a mile away, along with the police station less the 10 miles away.. The apartment mangement is about to install an monitored alarm system in all the apartments.

Effective with the renewal ,we will be charged $35.00 per month for the alarm. If we choose to have an alarm monitored , we will need an alarm permit with the City Of Arlington , Tx. The cost of the permit is $50.00 per year payable to the city.
If we choose not the have the alarm monitored , there still will a fee of $35.00 per month for the alarm. However, it will not be monitored by the city.

Is it legal to charge us this? My family think we don't need to alarm system , we also think that we should not pay for something we have no interest of haveing. Any ideas????

I'm a real estate agent in NY, and have stumbled on a huge problem that I've never had to deal with in the past. I'm going away on vacation tomorrow, and will be 500+ miles away from my office. I just received a phone call from one of my customer's bankers telling me that she (my customer) will have her pre-approval letter ready by this Saturday afternoon, and that she wants to make an offer on a house right then and there. I cannot see flying back to sign the paperwork, and I told her (the customer) countless times that I WOULD NOT be available from tomorrow (Nov 29th) through December 8th. Ok, point being..can I write up the offer ahead of time (I was told exactly how much the offer would be, I just need the banking paperwork as proof) sign it..and leave it with another agent (or my broker) at my office to do the transaction for me? I feel like I've been a "victim" of Murphy's Law here, lol.

What kind of camera do you use? How long does it take to create one, at the house and on your computer? Is the software hard to learn? Do you need a certain kind of webhosting company to upload it to? Is it better to just hire someone to do it?
