the two houses are from the same real estate but different
agents. the agent has the house for less money and the one
across the street is more money and bigger. when people
ask him about the bigger house he tells them that house is
an ego trip and the people are carrying two mortages and
need to get out. it is not his house. it is another agents house.
my agent brings me a low offer but the people looked at the
smaller house and now want mine. i have accepted the offer before i knew about this
but now im thinking that maybe thats why all offers have been
so low and is he allowed to tell my business. do you think my broker knew knew about this because she knew the agent
and is this legal? why would an agent say that when the house is not even his? what do you think if that happened to you.?

We signed a contract with a realtor for 6% to sell our home. Should we still be paying the lawyer fees at the closing? What else are we supposed to pay for as the seller?

My husband and I are looking to buy our first house. We have found a few foreclosure's we like. We are wondering what do we offer on it. They are nice homes and homes in that area are selling in the range of $180,000 - $200,000. The two homes we are looking at the bank's are asking $180,00 0 for one and $170,000 for the other. One needs a little more work then the other. So my question is, how low should our offer be if we were to make one? Someone told us 20% but I thought that was really low. Now I live in Michigan where there are lots of houses for sell and it's really a buyers market here. Oh, both of these homes have been on the market, in foreclosure for 3 months now if that matters. Thanks for your help!

Our bank will not accept anything. The Bank said we would have to "re purchase" our home or get out. What can we do? Our lawyer isn't returning our phone calls and we've only got 6 days until the sherriff returns to remove us. We can afford our payments now, honestly we can. But they won't let us make it up and go back. Is there any way we can stay in our home and make our payments? No one will finance us, we don't have that much money. Only 6 days, can anyone help us or advise us?

I have 70 acres in Tarrant county and would like to know if it is even possible to drill a well with out signing a lease. I am fairly knowedgeable about the drilling process and would like to put the deal together myself so that I get 100% of the royalties and not the typical 15-20%. Any good articles about putting the deal together? Or other advice?

My roommate and I have lived for a year in a large one bedroom apartment. She has a cat and plants. The cat has ripped up the carpet, the water from the plants has destroyed the carpet too. We are most likely going to lose the security deposit. Should she pay me for the loss?

My friendand her husband bought a house last year and the monthly payment was high but they were told to refinance it to a lower payment in a year when they built equity.

Well, they never built equity and their savings is gone because they used money from savings every month to make their house payment even though they are both working.

So next month and every month after they will be short $600/month on their house payment. They cut back on their spending, but they still can't make the high payments.

What options do they have?

Sell it? Rent it out? Can they refinance for a 40 year loan?

Any ideas? If they sell it then they will take a loss since the market slowed down in their city.

I am currently trying to get a mortgage with my girlfriend. We went to a mortgage company first and he ran our credit and everything and advised us to pay off some stuff that was "derogatory" and we did. Then the best he could do was like 20% down and an interest rate of like 11%. So I called a company that specializes in FHA loans and he said that everything looked good except I had a 16k dollar judgment against me from a hospital. He went on to tell me that FHA won't do a loan with a judgement that high. I was in the hospital for 4 days and at the time I didn't have insurance. This was 4 years ago. My girlfriend and I are both single parents. She has 2 kids(8,10) and I have 1(11) We both are raising them on our own and have been since they were babies. We desperately need help!! We are currently renting the house that we're trying to buy. The owners don't want to rent anymore, as they are trying to purchase another house. Anyone have any suggestions!!? Please!!

We are selling our home by owner and do not have a contract/offer yet, but would like to make a bid on a house we saw. The Realtor who has been showing us homes insists we must list our house with her (or another agent) in order for our bid to be taken seriously and in some cases, accepted. Is this true?
