Renting & Real Estate - March 2007

I'm very nervous about an upcoming inspection to see what renovations are needed in my Sect. 8 apartment.
I'm a shut-in, am disabled with several disabilities--not the least of which is AMD blindness, & Vertigo that can't take noise and vibration without it setting me off and off-balance. Talk around here is they'll be tearing out walls (oh, the noise!) and all my precious artwork could be ruined. Who will put things back the way I both need them to be and decorating-wise, the way I need to "see"? Thusfar this housing complex has been relatively quiet but now with the renovations coming, is there anything I can do "within the System" to keep these changes to a minimum? My home is furnished with rooms full & precious little extra space in this 1-bedroom apt.
How in God's name will they work around both me and my stuff? I'm also going blind and _need things orderly in order to function at all_. I walk with canes.

Please help if you can, & please make it QUICK.
Thank you so much.

I got a new listing for a 2.3 million dollar California home that the owners just purchased a year ago and are selling. When I looked on the MLS, I noticed that the old pictures are still available and the Virtual Tour link still exists and works. Can I re-use these pictures and the virtual tour link or is that illegal?

Recently, a builder tore down homes across the street from out home in Norcross , Ga. and is building 1 million dollar homes. We put our house up for sale with a realtor last week for 264,900. We immediately got an offer from another realtor. Would our realtor have to reveal to us any information in regards to the builder being interested in tearing down our home in the near future or could she sell it to someone perhaps knowing the builder will be doing this?

We own a home in Norcross, GA. Right across the street, John Willis, a builder is building 1 million dollar homes. Our house is for sale as of this week for 264,900. How do we find out if the builder is interested in tearing down the homes on our street like he did across the street? They would not tell us.

I live in Victoria Canada, and am trying to find some information on the Canadian first time home buyers grant. Does anyone know of any websites that provide information about this? I tried looking on Google for it, but couldn't come up with anything. Also, we are thinking of buying a mobile home, and I have been told that it may be difficult to find someone who will mortgage one, or that they may require quite a high down payment. Does anyone have any experience with this in the last few years? Any information on average pad rentals in Victoria B.C. or other areas would also be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

If I price the lease to cover the mortgage, taxes, and insurance, I'm afraid it will be too high and scare off prospects

We signed a contract to purchase the home, we had conditional approval. We attempted to meet all the conditions. We met them all and then a hurricane damaged the house and we had to extend the closing date until after the repairs were made. After four months, the repairs were made... then at the last minute our company called us and told us the conditions weren't met and we were denied. This took place in 2004. We have been attempting to get our funds back ever since. The sellers claim they should get the deposit funds back. We obviously think we should get them back. We filed in small claims and go to mediation on Monday. They have hired an attorney, we didn't think we would need one in small claims. What should we do? Who should get the money? Help, we need an answer soon! If you need more details, just ask. Thanks!

I moved in with a guy, who is not on the lease. His boss' name is on the lease, and now he's been fired. We're late a couple days, and the landlord is threatening to change the locks. Doesn't he have to give us a little time? He served a 5-day notice, but said we have to be out tonight by midnight. This is in Phoenix, AZ. Anyone know??
