Where can I obtain the lowest fees on closing cost when refinancing a mortgage? Also, why does conventional bank around the corner usually has one of the highest closing costs than a smaller mortgage company? Which mortgage company has the best deal and what is reasonable amount to pay on closing costs for an mortgage amount of $360K?

The end result: My house will 4 close/auction on 4/11/07. Im getting alot of mail/calls about people helping me. Is there REALLY a way out? The background: Made 50k/yr w/comp. who wanted me to cheat/lie, (see Forbes mag 12/06 or 1/07) "dirty laundry"article (its true btw, dont b fooled) Last paragraph? moi). i knew had 2 quit 2 save my soul, in prep I attempted to refi. Seems i was scammed $ also upside dwn by $25k by rent2own progrm (Colorado State Business Group, Chris Steibler) 0 equity cant refi. Had to go w/ gut & still quit. Had some money saved to live on, but still fell behind. WaMu said would work w/ me but that was a joke. I want to keep my house, not sell. Have new job, (comm sales) will be making $$ but takes awhile. (From 02/26 - now, have made 3k. but payday is 3/24). Have only $1,800 left in savings. WaMu is f'ng around, losing paperwork etc., "law & Assoc llc" seems best to help, but I ? neg comments on posts. I pay $1,980 - they save my house. Am I screwd?

I purchased a rental home a few years ago. Last year I sold it for a small profit. When I got the 1099 it made it seem as if I got the entire amount of the sale price but it does not take into account that the mortgage on the house was paid off and I only got the remaining amount of the money. Where do I put this on my taxes for the 2006 tax year.
I want (need) my taxes to reflect that I did not get the entire sale price////thanks in advance

Here is the story, my mom wanted to get rid of a house under her name to buy another house. she tried putting it in the market but nobody bought it. anyways, she asked me & my husband to get prequalified so we can get the house. she would still make the payment for it. however, we want to get rid the loan & title under our name already. is selling it the only way or is there any other way?

I bought a house six months ago. The price was 465,000. Anyways my real estate agent hooked me up with two mortgages. My first mortgage is fixed for 5 years and is interest only, i got it for 6.62% interest rate, my second mortgage is a balloon loan and i got that one at 9.15% interest rate. So i pay 2,031.39 for my first mortgage and 749.80 for my second mortgage. So do you think i got a good deal or my real estate agent screwed me over. I don't know anything about real estate so any help or advise would be appreciated. Thank you.

I would prefer the same agent handle both of my transactions and I haven't signed any paperwork, but I did complete a registration card that he'd already attached his business card to when I arrived at a new homebuilder the location.

We are buying another house and we wanted to know if there is a way to add any short balance from the house being sold to the new mortgage? The new home will have plenty of equity. We would probably have to carry over 20-30 thousand.

Are landlords required to have clean paint on apartment walls? I am renting an apartment and it only has a single coat of primer on it (you can actually see the drywall through it in spots and the job was not done very well--drips, on cabinets, etc.). I don't have a problem painting it myself, but would I lose my deposit? My landlords are out of the country on vacation and I want to paint while I'm off work for the next week. What do you think?

I have an accepted offer on a home built in 1994 in North Carolina. The inspection found a past and possible current ifestation of termites. How and when do you know when it's too bad to still prceed on the deal? Is the fact an infestation was found, mean the house should be off-limits? Or is the fact it was built in 1994 mean it can be treated and be fine?

How common are termites to be found in homes in North Carolina?

I guess I'm wondering if the fact they were even found is a huge, deal breaking thing, or fairly normal a finding?

I'm thinking of buying a house and I am trying to get every dollar accounted for in a given month. What are some average monthly gas, electric and water bills? Also are there any other hidden expenses that I'm not thinking of. I already have Cell Phone, Internet, Cable, Car Insurance, Gas Money, Food into my budget. Anything else i might have skipped over?

the home would be in the suburban Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area. Would probably be a single family house, probably 3 adults

I live in Cleveland. im trying to buy my first house without a mortgage. I saw some houses between $14-$17,000 and the pictures of the outside are great but i would love to know what are the odds of a beautiful house on the outside.. could be not livable on the inside. Im trying to purchase in June of this year.
Oh and another thing....should I get a mortgage instead? but the reason why i wont because Im renting now and i would hate to move into a house where i would feel like im still paying rent.
Thank you for listening
