Hello. I am selling my home. The termite inspection showed termites in the landscape timbers in the garden. This is right next to the house where the landscape ties (2) are a couple inches from the cement foundation. The report showed no termites in the home. They gave an estimate of $1500 to treat the entire house.
What is my responsibility to the seller since the termites are just in the garden? I want to be fair, but not overspend for termite removal during the winter (Delaware) when termite companies want business. Thanks.

I signed a rent to own agreement for 3 houses on one property. The owner conveyed that rental income potential is $1500 per month. My move-in date is 3-1-07. The main house had a fire & must be gutted & completely rebuilt. I must stay in little house which was to be one of the rentals, thereby no income from that. Owner has offered to discount price another $11,600 but that does not cover cost of rebuilding or lost income from rental. The attraction to the property was the rental income covering most of mtg.pymnts.$2200 per mnth. All is up in the air now. Anyone with similar experience? I would sure appreciate any thoughts/advice.

I feel adament about paying money towards something I know I wont own. Currently I live at home, but I have an opportunity to rent an appartment with one of my friends. I really wish that I could go with a townhome or an actual house, but I will need about a year more of savings to make the down payment...

Like I said i'm hesitant right now. How do you feeling about renting?

I put in an application for an apartment today. They said the background/credit check was based on: Credit, Past Renting experience, and criminal record and reported back as a score on a point system.

I have no previous renting history, this will be my first apartment; I have no criminal background; but I do have 1 charge off on my credit report from almost 3 years ago.

The leasing agent didn't seem to think it'd be a problem - does anyone have any experience with this point system? Do you think I will get the apartment?

Thanks for your input!

I really want to get my own place. I have been turn down so many times for a mortgage loan. I only want 350K for a small condo in Orange County. I have $18,000 that I have saved up for down payment or closing costs. The only thing is my credit score is around 530. I don't mind settling for a sub prime lender. I also considering lease to own program. Can somebody help me? Or maybe some advise about lease to own versus sub prime mortgage.
