I have a section 8 tenant who burned down our house. The insurance is covering costs to rebuild, and tenant is now worried where her and her family will live until the house is rebuilt. Now I'm confused what happens next. I'm worried about having to continue to pay my mortgage without having a renter's check every month. Haven't contacted section 8 yet about the matter but I assume they will stop paying me since the tenants aren't living there for the time being. Tenants are being put up by the Red Cross for now, but will have to find other options to live since we can't afford to pay our mortgage AND find them a new place to live. Anyone have any suggestions?

They were married at the time he bought the house but it is in his name. He claims that they would have to both sign and split the money thay get. I don't think this is true, but want to find out. We also have to give him proof that it is legit. So if you know where i can find the source. Then please e-mail me with it or write it in your answer. brianna_damien@yahoo.com. Thank you.

I don't know what type to get. It needs to inexpensive (less than $150). Do I need one with a phone? How does the phone on them work (does it need another phone line, or mess up the current one)? What would be a good one and why?

Hi All,

I accepted a position in Tampa located near the airport (on Cypress).
What is Tampa like? What are the "good" areas to live? Safety, easy access to work (I am concerned about traffic), near amenities, nightlife. Being near the beach would be a bonus, but easy access to work is more important.

The following list is what I found and heard that are good areas:

Tampa Palms/New Tampa
- North Tampa?
Clearwater
- How easy is it to get to the airport from here?
St. Petersburg
Forest Hills/Hillsborough
Temple Terrace
Brandon
New Port Richey
Carrolwood
Hyde Park

I haven't mapped all these out yet.
Hope to get some insight on these areas or areas near my work.

Thank-you for any help.

This is an owner occupied building and my tenant wants to get a snake and says I can't stop her because it is considered a "caged" animal (like a hamster or goldfish). She has a horrible track record with pets and I finally got her to get rid of the lizards, birds, ferrets, dog and chincilla she moved in with. Her lease says no pets, but it expired and she is now a tenant at will (month to month) Anyone have any ideas???

I am buying a home for $78,900 at a 6.25% interest rate, the owner is paying the closing costs and I don't have to put any money down. The mortgage guy said my payment would roughly be $626 a month on a 30 year fixed. Does that sound right? Won't know the exact amount until Monday. Thought it should be less than $626 a month for some reason. Any advise????

I am renting a home for $350 a month. (I live in a small town...that's the going rate.) It has two bedrooms, etc. and a two car carport. Its nice. But I love this house near by. It is for 64,900. That's average for homes around here that are more than 20 years old. This home is three bedrooms. They all have small closets. The basement is nice but one has to duck there head as they are going down the steps. There is a two car attached garage. The house has beautiful carpeting, wallpaper, and cabinetry. The owner is eager to sell so I could probably get it for 60,000. Maybe even less than that. Its been on the market for a long time because of no adequate dining area (only a bistro style table would fit in kitchen), small rooms and closets (the basement has lots of closets and shelves, though), and floral wall paper (too feminine for men). Everything else either costs too much or I would need alot of money for improvements and upgrades. This is turn key. And well maintained. Advice?
