Depends upon what you want. If you want listings, www.realtor.com will have the most. A lot of local agents will also have links to the public portion of MLS on their website. But you there's *NOTHING* except MLS that has everything MLS does. For that, you have to work with a professional.

If you want no BS consumer ed on loans and real estate from someone who knows the business of loans and real estate, go to http://www.searchlightcrusade.net/.

A really good website to browse local real estate/real estate agents is: http://www.idxbroker.com/news/256_IDX,_Inc._Introduces.php

just click on your state and you can check out local agents/homes/rentals without having to contact the realtor first.

It's really easy to navigate and is full of info about realtors with links to their personal websites. Most of their websites will have all the available homes/rentals in the area along with community info, so you can do some research before you contact anyone. Hopefully that works for you. Good luck!
