My Landlord entered my property without any notice. I caught him in my apartment yesterday, and it sent me into a panic attack. Who can I complain to.(ie. housing comission, etc.) I have evidence so he can't deny it.

I was cleaning the stove and some water(just a little) fell into the burner holes (gas stove) and shorted the whole stove top resulting in a small fire. No other pysical damage happened. Does my landlord have to replace the stove even though I broke it?

My husband and I are thinking of buying our first home (a condo). We have excellent credit and no credit card debt, but we do have a $16,000 personal loan with an 18 percent interest rate. The loan is current and our only other monthly expense is a car lease of $185 per month, insurance, groceries, utilities and the like. Would it make more sense for us to continue to pay on the loan as is (and refinance at a lower rate when that becomes an option) or to get a mortgage high enough to cover the outstanding loan?

Wife and her brother co-own late mother's home. $80 K still owed. She died with several outstanding debts. Brother has no credit and spotty income. He has helped little with mortgage. House has been on market since 02/06 with no results due to much work required inside. Wife took on executrix to avoid foreclosure and to keep him off the street. She is looking into quit claim but it's slow going. Need to know if this will work since d/n want to consider filing bankruptcy, loss of credit, possible loss of our own home.

We signed a lease and submitted it to management about a month ago. We've asked for a countersigned copy multiple times and have been ignored. What I'd like to do is not pay rent until they give us a copy. But I'm afraid that without proof there's nothing we can do.

I have filed bankruptcy 1/ half years ago and I own the house with my 80 year old mother and we need work done on the house.
She was told this is the best way. Or I should say the only way. This is for 30 years at 7.99%. Low payments of $156 a month but we were wondering if she got sick or I did if the payments were behind would they forclose. What does it mean when they say they would probably take a lein on the house. Isn't a lein and a line of credit the same?

My broker has informed me that the lender will pull my credit again when the loan application is submitted. I have always been under the impression that as long as the closing was within 30 days of pulling the credit report it would not need to be repulled. Is this standard practice or does it vary from lender to lender?

I rent a basement apt in charleston,WV and my land lady verbally notified me that she is selling her house ( which by the way is held in trust by the bank for her late husbands kids) and that I have 10 days to move. I do know that in WV you have to give 30 days notice to a tenant and it has to be in writing. So who do I call to have this enforced?

I owned a house in Florida and I was under contract with a buyer for the sale of the house, before the closing the buyer hired or made some arrangements for a contractor to do work on my house when I wasnt there without my permission, the buyer then chose not to buy the house and the contractor stuck me with the bill, I have an affidavit that my realtor never gave the contractor permsion nor did I ever give the contractor permission. I believe the buyers agent contracted to have the work done for her buyer. the contractor claims he made improvements to the house, but on my contract with the buyer I wrote AS IS, I did not want to make improvements to the house so why would I ever authorize any improvements. I was giving a credit to the buyer for improvements that she wanted done to the house, she in turn decided to hire a contractor I believe and thought when she got her credit from me during closing she would pay the contractor off. What should I do?
Thanks!!!

We chose a floor plan option that had never been done by the builder. After starting construction they realized they would have to greatly reduce the size of a walk-in closet to make the necessary changes. We specifically chose the upgrade because of the enlarged closet. I would not have chosen this house if I knew it would turn out the way it has. They never even offered to get our input on the changes to be made. They just changed our house and expect us to be happy with it. What can I do?
