If I paid off my credit cards, which the total debt is about $5200 plus my $3000 student loan all within 6 months..would that raise my FICO score significantly? I have no late payments or anything in default, so it's not like my credit score is bad..but it's not GREAT either..it's about 686..After that, the only debt I will have left will be my $30,000 student loan.

I am trying to figure out which would be better to do. I'm 30 years old but haven't started a 401k or IRA yet and need to do so ASAP. I also have $85,000 in student loans at a low interest rate. My income is $52,000/yr. What do I do???

I've tried everything.. seems like bankruptcy is my only choice. In Illinois if you file bankruptcy will they take your car if its almost paid off? I need a car to drive my daughter to daycare... the payments on the care are actually ontime for that reason I have about 6 more payments left. What about home loans? We bought a house 2 years ago... what happens to that? Do you lose material belongings when you file? Ugh. :(

My credit score...well, it's bad. I had a bunch of utilties from when I was 17 and 18 living on my own, and not caring about my credit, and hospital bills and medical bills and student loans bills. I don't know the exact amount of my debt. But it's big.
But now my husband and I would like to buy a house. What would be the advantages in filing for bankruptcy in this situation? Would it hurt more than help? Will it affect anything if my husband and I actually try to buy a house? Will filing affect my credit score?
Are there other options?

Also- what EXACTLY happens in a bankruptcy? the bills just...disappear?!

Ok so...I think I want to start cutting coupons to save some money on grocery bills, I've heard you can save alot. But, ok this is sooo dumb but...where do you get coupons? I see those coupon books in stores but they don't seem to have alot in them. My family never had to cut coupons so I don't know, now I'm a college student and out on my own, and would like to save some money up.

I want to move out of my parents' house so bad! !

I've been working as an English, Spanish, French, and Japanese teacher since I was 18. I'm 25, and for the last 3 years, I've actually started making more money translating. I rented a large apartment, bought deskchairs, whiteboards, and it's now my school. I set up my office to do my translation work.
I've had the place for 3 months, I haven't been able to gather enough people to teach groups of people, but people take me more seriously once they see the office and classrooms, so I get more translation work and students for private tutoring.

I can't afforrd to rent another place for me to live, or to pay for another phone and internet conexion. It would look unprofessional to live at my school/office. But if I put my bed in the pantry, and keep my clothes in the closet from my office. Eat out everyday like I always do. No one has to know.

Is it a good idea to secretly live in the pantry from my office?

I owed the bank money, and never paid it, and they closed my account. They reported the default to some sort of company. What is the name of that company so I can check and get a free copy of that report? I actually paid them the money I owed today. Can they reopen my account or another account?

Like most students, I borrowed too much money when I was in school and am now starting to pay them back (after consolidating, of course). My loan repayment is $325 a month for 20 years ( a lot, I know). Basically, thats about 53K in principal and 25K in interest.

My question pertains to paying it off early. If I double (or even triple my payments) each month, will the extra money (everything above the required $325) go directly to paying off the principal or am I stuck paying 25K in interest as well (regardless of how quickly I pay the loan off)?

I really want to get this paid off early and I'm thinking if I do so that it would save me quite a bit of money in interest over must paying the minimum and taking 20 years to get it paid off.

I really really really need help with this problem .

3 friends went to a hotel . When they got there they found out that the room was 30$$ So they each paid 10 bucks. when they are already in there room the manager figures out that the room was really only 25$$ so he sends the BusBoy up to give them there bucks back . While the busBoy was on his way he noticed that It was 5$$ and he remembers that there were only three people so to make things easyer he took 2 of the 5 dollars and give the friends one dollar each. So all three of them ended up paying 9 dallors each .

The question is " What happened to the remaining dollar?"

And please poeple be seirous.

For example, in LBS Union or Bank of America or Washington Mutual? Or does it depend on the bank?

Do banks allow you to withdraw 3000 dollars cash in thousand-dollar bills? If not, then how much cash can you withdraw? And/or in what bills?
