I'm 23 and brand new to real estate and was wondering if someone knew how much I would approximately have to pay for, lets say a duplex worth around $100,000 in upstate New York. What kind of taxes would I have to pay for this (state, fed, local???) how is it calculated, and what kind of insurance do I need? This would be a rental property that I would also be living in.

Does the Fed just print the money? Also, when it was infusing money into the system by buying some kind of securities or bonds, where was that money coming from? Can someone explain the recent actions of the Fed. Thank you!

With the economic situation the way it is, and more and more people being deeper in debt, should schools start providing finance classes in school?

Working in the financial field myself, I see on a daily basis how people don't really have any idea of how important it is to plan for the future, and most of those who think they have planned, haven't really prepared properly.

What do you think? Do you know how to lay out a monthly budget? How to invest for your retirement, whether an IRA, 401(k), or other retirement system? Do you understand how to utilize the system to receive the most tax breaks possible?

95% of America has 5% of the total money available in America. These people consist of employees and those who are self-employed. The other 5% have the remaining 95% of the money, and are business owners and investors.

So do you want to work for your money, or have your money work for you?

i dont know how to respond my own question, thats why i am pasting the old url here.
well folks i really appreciate your honest reply. most of you said go for a part time job. well, i am looking for it from the past 3 weeks and haven't found it yet. if i do a part time job than i will still make the minimum payment of credit cards not more than that. what i am trying to say over here is that , i have 2 options.
1. stay with this job, get 3yrs working experience.have no savings, and pay off loan in 3 years.
2. my second option is that go chicago drive limo and payoff my all debts around $28,000 in one year. after driving limo about 6 months i will start my MBA and can look for another job after 1yr when my all debts are paid off.
I need to choose b/w these options. please also tell me which Masters degree should i pursue to get a better job in future. my BBA Finance GPA was 3.36.

Every time I ask a question on this site, I can always expect a majority of judgemental people who know absolutedly about my situation....in fact, they are just rude. Let me clarify. I used the word "friend" in order to keep it simple. My friend happens to be my adoptive Mother and the loan was her idea. She is fully aware of would could happen but it is worth it to her because she wants what is best for me after ...well...being gone for so long, so to speak. She is also my financial planner so she is fully aware of any consequences and no friendships will be ruined by this transaction. NOW, please just answer my question which was "with my decent salary and her decent credit, what are the chances that the loan will be approved?"And if anyone recommends a bank, etc whom they have great results with, please let me know as I am researcing.
