I really really really need help with this problem .

3 friends went to a hotel . When they got there they found out that the room was 30$$ So they each paid 10 bucks. when they are already in there room the manager figures out that the room was really only 25$$ so he sends the BusBoy up to give them there bucks back . While the busBoy was on his way he noticed that It was 5$$ and he remembers that there were only three people so to make things easyer he took 2 of the 5 dollars and give the friends one dollar each. So all three of them ended up paying 9 dallors each .

The question is " What happened to the remaining dollar?"

And please poeple be seirous.

Judy is right. There is no extra dollar. The question is asked in a way that is designed to confuse the answerer. The cost of the room is $25, not $30. The three friends each paid $9 or a total of $27 dollars for the room and the busboy kept $2. So $25 + $2 = the $27 the friends paid.

They each paid $9, for a total of $27. $25 of it went to the hotel, and the busboy kept $2 - that totals $27. What they paid originally has nothing to do with the problem. It's just stated that way to confuse you.

Suppose he had kept the whole $5. Then he'd have 5, the hotel would have 25, and they'd have paid $30, which is 25 + 5.
