My husband and I are looking into retirement funds. We have gotten some information on them and how much to start. We are thinking of just saving money in a cd first and when it builds up enough money go to a mutal funds. Is that a good plan? What should I look for in a Retirement Plan? What company do you feel has a better Retirement Plan?

I'm 20 and I'm not sure how the car loan process works. If I get a loan from my own bank.....and let's say I want to have 20K for a car...with a 2K down payment....where does that play into my loan? Do I give that 2K to the dealer and get the rest from my bank? Or do I give the down payment to the bank?

I am going on a missions trip to Ecuador with my church and I need to raise $1,500. I found a website that will pay for old cell phones and ink cratridges. Do you (or anyone you know) have any of these that you'd like to donate to a good cause? The trip is talked about at itsaboutkids.org and if you have any of these, please send me an e-mail. Thank you and God Bless.

I have a first mortgage of 149,000$ Adjustable at 9%
I have a 2nd mortgage of 20,000$ fixed at 9%

The latest appraisal info on my house is an estimated 165,000.

What are my options? My first mortgage is currently 7.5% but it goes up to 9% in 1 month.. No one is willing to finance me because of there is no equity to work with.

Any help would be appreciated, currently I am NOT behind on any payments and I can keep them up for a few months after the adjustable goes up, but after that I will start falling behind.

thanks

I had an interview with a company for an open position last week. Everything went pretty smooth and I had a good feeling about it. Now, I was asked to come in again tomorrow to talk some more. At the first interview I was told that the hourly pay for the position is usually anywhere from 15 to 17 dollars depending on experience. I don't have any experience since I just finished college and haven't been able to work on the side.
If I am offered the job for let's say $15/hr, should I try to negotiate a little more even though I have no experience or should I just take whatever I'm offered? If you think I should try to get them a little closer towards the $17/hr, how should I do it?
