We will be listed as "entering foreclosure" until September, but have already made 5 consecutive payments into the forebearance plan, including a large down payment. However, in order to get our finances in order and pay education costs, we need to take out a home equity loan. Will lenders approve the loan (if we have one great credit score, one bad, and a good income) in our current state? Or would it be rejected outright?

I read things about being refused a bankruptcy and I worry, but mostly I have slept soundly for two days since making this decision with my husband. I know that my credit is ruined (it didn't work out so well so why should I use credit again) and I have a public record as a bankrupted person, but I will be able to pay my perscription bills and buy my kids shoes.
Keep in mind that I haven't actually been to court yet. OOo. I should do a blog.

I had heard or read somewhere(it's been so long I really don't remember which) that if you put just a penny into an acount at the bank over the span of 30 or more days, you would end up with a million dollars. Mabybe I'm mistaken, but this just doesn't seem logical to me. What kind of account works best for this? If someone could clear up my confusion, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you so much in advance for your help.

I put an ad on Yahoo Classifieds. I'm trying to sell my laptop for $500. He said he'd pay me $950. He says he's from the United Kingdom and he wants to buy it for his son who is in school in Nigeria. His email address is a male's name, but not the name he gave me. He wants me to ship the computer to Nigeria, I guess to his son. Please let me know if you think I'm being scammed. He's paying through paypal, but I'm still weary. I'm thinking once I ship it and give them the confirmation number, he won't have the funds to be deducted from his account. And I'll end up with no money and no laptop....What do you think?

My husband have student loans and credit card debt. Currently it's kind of getting out of control. We don't use our credit cards anymore, but are only able to pay the minimum. What options do we have to possibly roll them all together or just to get a better rate on everything? We have good credit and a good payment history. Right now we're just struggling. Thanks for any help!

Well, it's a long story how it happened, but my checkbook got really soaking wet. It's out on the kitchen table now trying to get dry. Do I have to throw away those checks, or will they still be useable? They are duplicate checks; will the copy page still work right?

I own my home, but do not have enough equity built to refinance and get $50K to pay off credit card debt-what are my options? Someone told me a second mortgage may work, but I have only owned my home for 14 months. Balance on my current mortgage is $77K, home value is max $90K.

I am 2 yrs into a 6 yr IVA and I want out. I am a home owner and am looking to release equity in the house to get rid of this albatross and Cruella De Ville (aka IVA Supervisor...)
Can anyone give me an indication of what kind of rate I'd be paying for a remortgage in my position and also could you reccomend any good honest brokers/ companies out there that aren't sharks? Would it be worth approaching my current Mortgage provider, RBS (No missed paymnts etc) or am I likely to be blown out of the water?
Cheers
