My friend and I worked together. He left and went to another company. Then called me to recruit me over there. Now my employer is counteroffering for a $12,000. increase in annual pay. I am unhappy at my current job. Should I take the counteroffer for $12000 more than the new company is offering or should I leave to go to the new company? Help!

I know I want to put up 10,000 where it can not be touched to help my daughter with living expenses during college.(College already taken care of by another fund my Dad left me as well. Isn't he the best!) Plz understand that I save about 100.00 a month for rainy days and pretty much live paycheck to paycheck. I need a dependable car, that I have budgeted in (this is my chance to get a 1 yr used great car that will last me for a long time)but don't have the credit to get one & would like to use some of this money as collateral if that's possible, so I can FINANCE one, instead of dropping all of my money to just out right buy it. Other needs are braces 4000.00, long needed home repairs 5000. & I won' t lie...I'd like to spend some of it to go on a vacation this summer.

I would greatly appriciate any advice from you all knowing smart investors out there in yahoo land!

Thanks a bunch!

Hey,

I have an account with Washington Mutual, and recently, I have overdrafted, but cause of my carelessness, but because when I logged in, it showed I had certain amount of funds, and later, onceI had spent what I thought it had, they tell me I didn't have that money after all. I'm pretty tired of that (Second time they do it) and I'm just going to open another account somewhere else, I'll have to pay them, but I can't lose my upcoming check. What are some things I can do to get out of this problem without it affecting my credit?

Many thanks!

I read a sign on the bank "drive thru" that said any transactions made after 3:00pm count as another day. Does that include Overdraft ...
For example If the bank charges $30 a "day" will the total for the 24 hours be $60? or just $30?
I try calling my bank but they give me the run around! If anyone knows please help~
My bank is Texas State Bank~ (but i think I will be changing that in the near future)

My husband spent a year in Iraq and we saved up about $8,000 for him to go to collage. The WIC program says that it is based on monthly income, which we quilify for, but it says to supply them with savings account withdrawls and accessable money, such as checking and savings accounts. However, they do not list an "asset limit". Before I go apply for WIC, does anyone know if they will deny me benefits because I have a decent savings account? The advice I am looking for is not, "Call them and ask" I know to do that. I'm wondering if anyone has worked for WIC or has been in the same situation as me.

We're a young couple who were talked into buying a timeshare. We feel that it is not worth the money we spent for it and we keep paying the maintenance fees. we already listed our timeshare with a couple of places. They promised to sell it in no time. But once they got their money we didn't hear from them again. We're going broke. If anyone has any idea how to get rid of it. or any advice at all would be appreciated.
