here is a copy of their email. they recently bought a book from me, and want to upgrade the shipping.

"Comment/ Question: I wanted to upgrade to expedited shipping.
Can I just send you the extra $2.00 via paypal. I'll actually send
you $3.00
to cover for the paypal fee. It would be important for me to have it
sent via
expedited shipping instead of media mail.
Sorry about the inconvenience. All I need to send you the extra
amount via
paypal is your email address and I will send the amount right away.
Thanks again."

I didnt know if this may be a scam or what. I have never given my email out to any one for this particular purpose. Thank you for any advice that you may have.

does it make sense to put $5000 into an online savings account where I have access to it whenever I want, instead of putting it in a CD that has the same percentage yield?

My friend had her credit and debit cards stolen back in March and was cleaned out in the day or so it took her to realize. Now the bank won't give her her money back (even though she filed a police report and they have the theif in camera using her cards), and her credit is all screwed up. She went from perfect credit to horrible within weeks due to this. She's even considering bankruptcy at this point because it is all so messed up. Any suggestions?

The Lending Club will provide you with a mortgage loan that you use also as your checking account. The loan is like an equity loan. Borrow $200,000 and each month you add your paycheck to the account. That amount is deducted from your loan. Say I get paid $4000 a month. I put that into my account and now my loan is $196,000. My loan payment is $1500, so that raises the total to $197,500. From there I also pay my regular monthly bills [ food, gas, phone, etc.]. This also raises my loan up. The idea, I believe is by putting more into the account, it reduces the loan amount and therefore reduces the interest charged. Since loans are calculated daily, this might make the long term affect to be less overall interest paid and the loan paid off sooner. Is this correct? What are the negatives about this?

I am a college student who signed up for the gym three months ago. Two weeks ago, I was approached by a trainer and signed up for personal training. The initial fees were overwhelming, so I wrote him a post dated check for the 15th of this month, because I recently started a new job, and would be able to pay by then. The check was cashed through a third party of the gym (a company that handles their finances) on the 11th, and overdrafted my account, and is still overdrafting my account significantly due to insufficient funds. What rights do I have (if any) to compensation for this lost money?

Being a finance officer myself I do believe that the financial adviser is another term for salesman.
They only tell you what they have on offer but never tell you (i.e. advise) which is the best option for your particular circumstances - in case of later litigation.
So they are selling rather than advising. Financial Adviser sounds grand , better than a mere salesman
