You are best off with one real estate agent. If you attempt to engage several in the sale, each will be expected to invest time and money in advertising and promotion, and only one of them will earn a commission. NYC has a multiple listing service, which allows other real estate agents to be aware of your listing, and to show it through cooperative agreement with the listing agent.

You'll have to make sure the realors are ok with that deal. They have to put a lot of time and money into selling a house and they only get paid on the commission. So if you're going to ask multiple people to work for you, they need to know the deal and may ask for a fee up front to cover their time and the listings they pay for.
