I stopped eating out and take lunch to work every day.
I turn out every single lite in the house and recently quit leaving the bathroom lite on at nite.
I promised myself I would not make any purchases until Christmas except nessesities such as shampoo, soap, deoderant, toothpaste and food.
I decided not to have my hair trimmed professionally.
Any other ideas to trim my expenses?

Move money out of your accounts. I'd recommend opening a savings account with ING Direct. The account links directly to your existing checking account. Setup a recurring transfer to move some money from your checking into your ING account on your pay days. The money will earn a good interest and when you need it you just transfer it back to your checking account.

It is a great way to build up an emergency fund.

Good luck.

Hey there, that sounds like my life.
Don't cut back on everything you still need to have fun.If you see it as a chore to save money you won't stick to it.
The best advice I can give is make your savings automatic and treat it as another bill. That is the easiest way to save.
Best of luck to you and your frugal life.
P.S. your doing a good job

Just look at each purchase and ask "is this necessary"?
