Im 19 and when i turned 18 i was suddenly able to get all this credit.

I had about 8 credit cards (no loans) and ran them all up to the max. I was forced to re-locate to a different part of the U.K. and left my job. I owe around £7000. I have started working again but can no way afford to pay this back.

I was wondering if i could go bankrupt or something.

I haven't told them i moved and letters must be going to the old address still. This was in January.

Any advice guys - be nice, i wanna sort this out??

I have questionable credit, but the card being offered has a high limit and relatively low interest rate. Is this a scam that anyone has heard of?

I have good established credit. I have two paid autos, a motorcycle that I financed paid full, and a few credit cards always paid on time. I've been told I have a good credit score for my age(23). On the last vehicle i bought the salesman said it may get me a lower intrest rate if i got my father-in-law to co-sign, even though I have plenty of credit to purchase the vehicle on my own. Is this a step backwards? I tried getting a loan before in the past and they said i had "too much co-credit"even though i had never had any before. So will getting that co-signer actualy make my credit go down? Also I've heard that it is better to leave credit card accounts open when you're done with them rather than closing them, that creditors like to see available credit. Is this true?

I accidentally gave my debit card number to a website and was automatically enrolled to some service that I didn't intend to have and barely used it. But it still charges me a monthly fee.

I tried to call them and cancel my membership but the line was always busy. Is there any thing I can do about it? maybe cancel my debit card? but I really don't want to do that.

Help me!

I am a 21 year old college student with about 9000 in credit card debt. I lost my job for a while and fell way behind on all my bills - now I have collection agencies calling me all the time and threatening me...I even had two lawyer offices call me this week!! I talked to a lady at CCCS, and she was going to set me up with a payment, but I am concerned because I am a full time college student and don't know how long I will be able to work full time while going to school. If I move to part time I would be unable to make the payment required and they don't re-evaluate your situation. I am trying to reason with my creditors but they don't give me the time of day or any options. I don't own a house or a car, what should I do???

I have been working very hard to repair my credit after losing my job nearly forced me to declare bankruptcy 3 years ago. had quite a view late payments but I've paid most of my balances down to less than 50% if not zero. However I currently have 2 charge off on my credit report(s). One is a car loan and the other is a personal loan. The total charged off amount was about 23,000. In the last two years I have paid about 19,000 on both loans. One is paid and the other has a principal balance of about 4,000. I am working with the creditor to have them changed from charged off to paid/paying as agreed as part of a final settlement. Does anyone have any idea how many actual points on your credit report charge offs are "worth"? Meaning if my credit score is currently 600, and I get these accounts changed from Charged off Paid, to Paid/Paying as Agreed with no charge off listed, how many points should I expect my score to go up for each considering the type of accounts they are?

I received a call from a collection agency trying to collect on a debt that is 8 years old, dating back to 1998. My state's Statute of Limitations for debt is seven years. Can they still collect on this even when the Statute is expired?

I have a credit card through Capital One with an APR of 21.05% I've had it since April. My score is 733 according to "My Credit Inform" that Capital One offers and my limit is 750. I took the first offer that came in the mail. But the card really doesn't offer me anything else, cash back, etc. Should I be concerned about the perks or have the APR lowered? I don't pay it off each month like I probably should, but I do pay well above the minimum. But also, should I go with a card through my credit union? and how do I get the balance transfered?

If I'm making loan payments to an individual, how can that person report timely payments so that they end up on my official credit record?

I've heard that the more credit history you have, the better it will be for huge purchases like a house. But since I just moved in my first apartment (I'm 25, I know I'm a late bloomer), I was thinking of all the extra money I would have just by not having to pay off those cards. Thanks in advance!
