I accidentally gave my debit card number to a website and was automatically enrolled to some service that I didn't intend to have and barely used it. But it still charges me a monthly fee.

I tried to call them and cancel my membership but the line was always busy. Is there any thing I can do about it? maybe cancel my debit card? but I really don't want to do that.

Help me!

EASY. call your bank, block the card (the one which you gave the merchant) and request a new card. the new card has a new 16 digit number on it. if the merchant tries to charge the account with the debit card number on their file the purchase will be declined as the card number will be invalid. i'm a service officer for citibank. this is the easiest and simplest way to stop these transactions.////// if u have set up any payments with other merchants with your card(only card not with your account and routing number) do remember to call them when u get your new card number so that they can update it on their files.

If ur problem is true and ur serious, then do not waste calling them. Take a pen and paper and write. No e-mail too. Then Go to ur lawyer and send a notice. U will get positive response within 15 days. Still not over, simply file a suit u will recover with interest.

Alternatively u can also write ur debit card provider and issue STOP PAYMENT advice. Check which one suits U.

Inform the bank in writing that the company is no longer authorized to debit your account. If the bank quits paying, the website will either cancel your account or contact you.

Keep calling them. If they don't answer within a week, go get a sub-machine gun and take a roadtrip to where they do business, fire away.
