I would like to get a loan so i can build credit but I need credit to get a loan and I tried to get an old navy card the other day and I couldnt even get that. I would like to go about this without a co-signer if its possible. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I thought if a bank took back your car, sold it, and listed it as charged off on my credit report. No additional payment was due. Is this correct, or can they still sue me?

I bought this Toshiba TV about a week ago and now I want to return it so now I got the TV back to the store but the workers there did not want to return it, and they told me that on the receipt is says that is final sale. And they said thats why I cannot return the damn thing. So I want to know if I was to sue them for not returning the tv eventhough it says on the receipt that it is final sale would you think I would win. The damn TV costs more than 3500 hundred dollars.

I have to go through a credit check in order to rent an apartment, but I don't think I really have a credit history--good or bad. My parents helped me pay for undergrad. tuition and rent, and I don't even have a credit card, though I do have a debit card. Is a lack of history bad?

I have a credit card right now and no balance at all (clean) - but it has an annual fee (Bank of America). Bank of America upgraded my credit card with no annual fee just few days ago (but I never activated it yet). But then, I just received a better offer from another credit company. My question is: If I close my Bank of America credit card with annual fee, it will be negative on my credit points? I just paid my annual fee 3 months ago and I'm still using my old BOA credit card. So if I close my BOA card, I have to pay for my 3 months of usage instead of 12 months? Thanks!

Do they help you establish credit? I'm 20, and in the past two years I havent been able to get a credit card because I have no credit (which is something that I really dont understand, but thats not the point) would one of these help me?

Also, if they do help you establish credit, how long after getting a pre-paid card should I wait to apply for a real credit card?

I just got a prepaid credit card to help me establish my credit. Its seems like a better option to just "load" how much money you want on your card, but has anyone had any problems with it such as making hotel or rental car reservations? or do you know if its a pretty good card?

What options do I have? She opened it while we were seperated and made the first couple of payments, when she found out we were not going to get back together she went out and charged $11,000 dollars and since I was not living at the house I never received a bill or even knew there was a new account opened without my permission, what are my legal options?

We own a house under 4 names, 3 brothers, 1 sister
in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. My mom put it into the
4 of us as equal owners of the house, since she does
not want to write a will. However, my 2nd brother,
who owns one quarter of the house, has $78,000
in credit card debt! If my brother is not able to pay
the $78,000, and the creditors put a lien on our house,
can they later force us to sell our house?
a) My brother only owns 1/4 of the house, so can
the creditors force the sale of the house without
notrifying the other 3 owners?
b) If a lien goes on the house, are we OK, until we try
to sell the house?
c) or can theyforce us to sell the house after 4 months
after the lien is put on the house?
Has anyone gone thru something similar?
What has your experince being?
I am looking for Canadian experince,
in the city of Toronto, Ontario, Canda (ie Canadian law)
d) can we stay safely in the house & not sell it
even if there is a lien? (thjzip@yahoo.ca)

I have a phone bill with BellSouth of TN that is in collections with CBCS. The bill is from 2002 and showed up on my credit report in 2005. I sent CBCS a settlement letter offering 25% of what I owed. They did not respond so I sent another letter offering the same a few months later. Again no response. I sent a third and final letter trying to settle and no response. I hunted their # down on the internet and called and they guy was very rude and said "No, were not gonna settle. CBCS does not settle!" Has any one else dealt with these people? Any suggestions? I really want this taken care of and off my credit report before next year because I'm going to puchase a home.
