The only real job I've had, aside from Mcdonald's for a month, was as an "exotic dancer" for almost 6 years. How do I put that on a resume? And what is the best way of talking about this kind of job in interviews?
A lot of the girls I work with told me to put Entertainer, but I'm sure I'd be asked all sorts of questions in an interview about this title.
Look I'm trying to change my life around and get a professional office-type job so if theres anything you can do to help, I'd appreciate it.

I recently returned to work as an assistant supervisor of a group home for 5 MR men, after a 3 year hiatus caring for my parents. I've been on the job 45 days and have found much of the staff to be dishonest.

This evening my boss, informed me that she has a "crush" on me. This came out of left field, as I'm 10 years older, professional and not particularly inclined to go out with my boss, who is also 385# and has a 7 year old daughter. I'm also gay-100% gay, but not fem. I only want to do my job and enjoy my health insurance, something I did without those 3 years.

I was flabberghasted, but handled it well, and just as I started to describe myself as a kind of "loner," so help me, one of the toilets overflowed, requiring immediate attention, etc.

I know it's sexist to go by the adage "hell hath no fury like a woman scorned," but since I know that she is a gossip and very co-dependent with her other employees (frankly bad boundaries), I am getting a bad feeling. Any advice

I've been applying to jobs online for about 2 months now. I've been applying to major chains like K-Mart, Home depot, Toys R Us, and others. I have a high school diploma. I'm currently attending college in order to get an associates degree. I have 2 years of retail experience. I can work a cash register. And I have not had any problems with my employers. Yet I have not had any call backs!

I think that there are a few possible reasons why I'm not getting any call backs:
-I'm over qualified. They probably want someone with less experience so they can pay them less.
-I'm currently employed. Although I'm looking to leave my current job.
-I'm asking for a salary that is too high. Currently I'm making $9 an hour, and I'm asking for $10 an hour.
-I'm failing the test that you have to take when you answer when you fill out the application.

Can any one give me advice. Is there a website that can help me with application test? Should I ask for a lower salary?

I'm a diabetic who had a MRSA infection in my left foot. The doctor wanted to do amputation below the knee. I questioned having to loose the whole leg for a foot infection. He replied with"you snip snip here and you snip snip there and you're still going to lose the leg" that was 7 years ago. I still have the leg and most of my left foot minus the toes. I saved myself because I didn't let his being a doctor stop me from exploring my options. It still amazes me how many heatlhcare professionals still act like their opinions and judgements are the final word. What happened to the partnership between doctors and patients I've heard so much about?

2. Find a way to improve my drawing skills. (Is there any way to do that?)

I'm sure everyone who has worked as a cashier (either at a grocery store or any other store) has dealt with rude, obnoxious customers before?

How do you deal with it when they TOTALLY piss you off?

I worked as a cashier at a supermarket and today this guy started shouting at me and treating me like dirt. He was paying for his groceries and i noticed he had a case of pop under his cart. So i asked him if the case was from here.. and suddenly he started screaming at me saying "dont accuse me of stealing, how dare you. What right do you have to ask me that? you're not doing your job right" and he threw the money all over the counter & i was like what the heck are you talking about. I asked a simple question and he blew everything out of proportion. He comes back a few minutes later and told me that he complained to my supervisor and said "you're in a lot of trouble." and when i tried to talk he told me to shut the f* up.. i cried and i couldnt help it. i was so embarassed :(

I started college this fall and a new job that I'm not to thrilled about right now. Going to school part time, 3 day's a week, and working a full time job has been really stressing me out. My new job isn't what I expected it to be. My position has many tight deadlines which doesn't give me enough time to plan, my team mates always joke around with each other and when I try to joke with them I get nothing, my team mates said I can always ask them for help and when i did on the 3rd day no one helped me & I have to attend an event they hold every month that is an hour away (which they never told me about on the interview and my car has seen the light).

I don't know what to do.I am not happy at all. HELP!

I'm interested in a career were I'm not attached to a desk for 12 hours!! Working on computers I'm setting at a desk for hours. I recently got a job at a MAJOR media company and find the work to be boring and unimportant. I want a career were I can make a difference and see my work first hand. I was thinking about an architect but after the building is created, I'll be out of a job. Even though I've always been fascinated by the size and presence of large structures. Also a little recognition would not hurt.

P.S. I don't mind getting my hands dirty either. I was thinking about a construction manger, or a intelligence agent or U.S. Marshall. The work does not have to be physically challenging just fun and active.

What do you think?Exciting

A letter alone which I know I have to give to make things official, will not be the way I would want to do it. I need to have a sit down which may be quite emotional as I have been like part of a family in this small company,-what to say?? I am leaving to broaden my horizons in a similar field. I certainly do'nt want to burn bridges with my work history, in other words I would like to leave with their blessings.

I am really disappointed - everybody talks about recycling yet here I am with a degree and I can't get a job. I know as an Eastern EuropeanI can start on a senior level (and man, I am keen on an administrator position just let me start it!), but even for junior positions they expect 2years experience!
I have 1 year experience in waste management (project work, not UK based).

I phoned recycling companies and they wouldn't recruit without an agency (but wouldn't tell the name of the agency).
Councils go through the job centre, but I can't apply for jobs in Ealing if I live in Wandsworth.

Do you know an agency I should contact?

Are you an Environmental Engineer in waste management and have some ideas or tips?

I have been working at a shoe store for over a year, and I get paid $5.70 an hour plus 1% commission, I work in NH and i'm pretty sure the minimum wage is $6.50 as of September 1st, 2007. I don't know if I should complain or what? I am a very good employee, I hardly call out and never come in late. My manager has not given me one raise since I started working there which was almost 13 months ago. For every hundred dollars that I sell I make one dollar. I only work about 15-20 hours a week. I sell about 2,500 a week, which is only 25 dollars. I dont know if she hasn't given me a raise because im on commision or what but i dont know what she would say if I asked her for a raise? Would she tell me that im on commision and that I should sell more to make more money or what?

What should I do?
