Car is okay for now, but work is driving me crazy and I'm the type who can't stand sitting around doing nothing, even getting paid for it. This is all we're doing right now. It's making me literally ill. I'm going back to work tomorrow, and I really was having some serious probs with my car.

Whenever I finish a project, spreadsheet, etc., I have to forward it to the proper manager and then they take my name off of everything and put theirs on it. This is starting to get irritating. Any ideas?

So, I'm moving from the Bronx, NY to Portland and I need to get work. Temping, however, isn't going to cut it since I'll need to be making a lot more so I can pay rent and electricity, food, the works. I went to a 5 day drilling course on bartending, got the books and certificate, have the equipment and a stocked bar at home, but have never worked in an actual bar. I've saved up about a month and a half of rent and am putting the move on a credit card? Since I know bartending's fun and a good way to make some cash, I just need to know what's the best way to get a bartending job in Portland.

I am the sous chef, and the executive chef at my work keeps taking my ideas, putting a twist on it and then serving to the GM and Owner when i'm not there to gain recognition and praise. I wouldn't mind if he tweaked some of my recipes if he asked me.. instead he does this on my days off.. now 3 of MY recipes are in the menu as His specialties. Everytime I bring it up he gets defensive and angry and pulls executive status on me.. Help!

I have a first interview tomorrow, and during the phone interview, I was told that the position offered a slightly lower salary than what I'm making now. I don't want to be offensive, but I don't want to leave my current job for a lower paying one even though it's a better fit (financially, I can't). Do I just suck it up and take the lower pay or are there any suggestions on how to negotiate to where I'm at?

would you sack them, move to a different department or what?
how much would you be prepared to tolerate?
