I live in Switzerland with my wife who is Swiss (I'm American). We were living in the States and came here so she could finish her Masters, which for Administrative reasons she couldn't finish in the US. My plan has been to go to Medical school, which wasn't a possibility in Switzerland untill recently. I've been studying Biology here getting my premed courses out of the way and now the laws just changed and I've been accepted into medical school here for next year. I really wanted to go back to Seattle and study where my family lives (my wife and I want to settle there). But here medical school is free, and if I get my degree here I can work there too, but if I get my degree in the US I can't work here. Also, my wife just got a really good job in radio. If I decide to start here that means we'll be here another 6 years. We've been here two already. What would you do? I think for the sake of my wife's career, she should work this job for at least a couple of years.

I lost my job 4 weeks ago but have so far managed to keep myself afloat by wagering pool and hustling cards in the pub. My rent and bills for month are paid, I'm spending most the day in the pub enjoying myself and none of my income is taxed. Wot motivation do I have in getting a job?
Is "pub-goer" not a legit profession?

2006 is coming to an end and i think i gonna waste it away. for this whole year, i worked for less than 3 months. i think i have a problem. i do not want to work weekends, i do not want to work night shift and i do not want to work retail hours. pay wise 1k to 1.2k will do. is that too much? i can't apply for office jobs because i do not have that well-groomed image. i keep long hair and wear ear studs. i have a driving license and i tried looking in that area but most on offered are located too far from my home. i do not want to travel 1hour+ just to get to work. i completed tertiary education (I.T) but not good at what i studied. someone please advice me what to do man...

Hi,
I'm interested in both IT and being an electrician. Which would be
a good choice and why?

I have always seem to adapt to electrics by fitting plugs since I was about 8-10 years old and repairing switch on my mums vacuum cleaner as an adult, but would like more exposer to
electrics(mainly electrical installation).

The advantage with electrical installation is that you travel whereas
with IT your stationary.
Any suggestions?

Regards,paul
