I'm trying to get a job right now---a permanent one because I just graduated (finally!), but I don't know what's the best way to send in a resume in response to job ads. When the employer says you can fax, email, or mail it in, which is the best way to send it to catch their attention? I'd assume email, but I was thinking a million other people will send it that way, and I want to make sure I stand out.

Also, if there's a job that I'm super interested in, should I just show up at the place, resume in hand, ready for an interview? I understand that people are busy and such, and I may have to schedule an appointment, but is it a good idea? Will it show that I am super interested? Or is it annoying?

PLEASE HELP!!!!! I'd be especially grateful for responses from HR employees. Thanks!

Has anyone joined Shoppers' Hotline. This is a company where you scan the barcodes of what you have purchased and receive points/rewards for doing so. If you have..let me know what you think. I just joined.

I have a peer, at management level, who pushes her way at every chance she gets and makes everyone in the management team unhappy. No one is willing to voice it upwards because they know the boss would avoid the conflict.

My Company has not paid me my commission check yet. It is a month overdue. My previous boss was let go and she was the one who normally took care of my commission. I know that my company is aware that I receive a commision check because I remind them with emails every pay period that I am not paid my check. I am not sure who im my company handles my check now because I have three different bosses. I have sent them emails and received no response. What should I do?

I have just been hired and was told I am a part time employee, but the company has scheduled me for 2 consecutive 40-hour work weeks. Can they do that without classifying me as full time, or can I demand fewer hours if they insist on keeping me as part-time?

I'm working 9 to 530 in a bank call center. I miss my nights and don't know when I should be sleeping, right after work, before work? Forget eating right!

I have been with the company for 2 years this October. I received a raise after just a few months here, and last October I was promised another one shortly. I am struggling to pay bills, childcare, etc., and could really use a raise right now. I was always just given them at the right times, and this is the first time I feel like I need to talk to my boss and I do not know how to approach him.

I'm 25 years old and I still don't know what I want to do with my life. I went to college, and got a general studies Assoc degree. I have a really good desk job now, that pays pretty well, but I don't know if this is what I want to do for the rest of my life. I like helping people, but I don't like calling or really talking on the phone. I like working outside, in nice weather. I love to exercise, but I'm not in the greatest shape. I absolutley hate sales and telemarketing. I learn extremely fast, and have a really good memory and love to read. I'm sorta a loner, but wouldn't want to be alone all day. I type well, but would never want a receptionist type job (remember, I hate phones). I'm horrible with driving directions, and just hate driving in general. I'm a great leader. I'm good with computers, but not enough to repair or program. I'm not afraid of hard work, as I have worked in several labor intensive jobs as well. I am a girlly girl. and i don't like to touch people.

My weakness is that I can't say no. It's a weakness, but at the same time I am dedicated not only with my duties but as well as assisting others in unrelated duties as needed also for strengths I would say I work exceptionally well in a fast paced environment If I'm ask to do something it's guaranteed to get done and to the best of my ablity.
