first off i used to work in walmart in san antonio in the pet department, the supervisors were jerks, always asking you to do more even though you are about to pass out, you get yelled at for taking a 10 second drink break. for you out there wondering why know one knows anything about their department, they DID NOT choose that department, i didn't want pets, i know very little about what pet food is better, i know more about electronics and tvs and should have rightfully been placed in that department. they want you to work late, and cut hours on friday so you don't get overtime, BUT still expected to do 8 hours of work in 6 hours or less. it's riduculous. the managers out and out yell at you in front of the customers, and in front of the other employees. i don't work there cause i had enough and called in 2 days and found another job. i just want to know if anyone else experianced this working at walmart? yes i did see the high cost of low prices video on starz, it's true!

After my lease expired and I did not renew it. The landlord ask me to sign a new lease at much higher price or vacate the shop within one month. What kind of rights do I have? Currently I am looking for a new shop around and negociating the lease with another owner. But it will take two or three months for me to move the new shop. Does the current lanlord have the rights to force me vacate the shop after give me one month notice? Or I can still stay here until my new shop ready as long as I pay the rent?

Thanks.

For example, I put down a deposit and sign contract in Janurary 2008 for a lease to begin Feburary 2008 - Feburary 2009. Let's say I decide to not move in Feburary 2008 and notify in Janurary 2008 . Is that considered "breaking the lease" and forcing me to pay all the rent?

As you will see, if you are a shareholder as of 12/31/2007 of PVFC, you are going to get bought out at one of these prices:

1. $18.50 cash per share
2. $9.25 cash per share + 0.926 X (value of UCFC)

OR

3. 1.852 X (value of UCFC)

The question is, which one would an investor be getting? Clearly, option #1 is the best deal and option #3 is actually a BAD deal.

So, should I go ahead and buy the stock or not?

Dear Folks,

I relocated to a new place due to change of my work. I converted my primary home to a rental property after this relocation. I am planning to do depreciation on the tax return for 2007. I am just not quite clear about the future effect that will be caused be depreciation? Will the depreciation be added when calculating the capital gain of selling the porperty? What if the property did not make money due to a depressing market?
Thanks a lot.

Read This: § 33-1324. Landlord to maintain fit premises
A. The landlord shall:

.The landlord and tenant of a single family residence may agree in writing, supported by adequate consideration, that the tenant perform the landlord's duties specified in subsection A, paragraphs 5 and 6 of this section, and also specified repairs, maintenance tasks, alterations and remodeling, but only if the transaction is entered into in good faith, not for the purpose of evading the obligations of the landlord and the work is not necessary to cure noncompliance with subsection A, paragraphs 1 and 2 of this section

One and Two are:
1. Comply with the requirements of applicable building codes materially affecting health and safety.

2. Make all repairs and do whatever is necessary to put and keep the premises in a fit and habitable condition

Forget 5 and 6, i get that. But what does it mean about In good faith, and not evading the...

I'm considering truck driving as a change in careers but as a beginner, do you need to do the long hauls or will local companies hire you? And for long hauls, how long are you away from home, how many hours can you drive in a day, can you take breaks as you need to, how long are you at home before your next trip, etc? Anyone who can give me some details on a trucking career is an angel and the information would be so appreciated. Except for a few speeding tickets which I got deferred, I have a clean driving record.

I want a credit card with a good balance tranfer offer. Six months at 0% will do fine.

It might be nice for it to be otherwise a good credit card too because I might pay the balance off in about a month and still want to use the credit card.

I already have a Amazon credit card with Chase so I think I need to use a different bank.

Hello, I am the CEO of a small web design company. I'm also heavily invested in the stock market. I'm wondering if it is possible to channel my capital gains that I make through the stock market through my small, incorporated S Corporation, to save on taxes. Currently, short term capital gains in the stock market are upwards of 35-40 % for larger gains. Thats just way too much to be giving to the government.

Thanks if anyone can help.

If you read my previous question, this will make more sense. I want to open my own day care when I get older.

Anyway, when I turn 16 this following summer, I could get a job, or I could babysit kids. What do you think I should do? I would enjoy the babysitting, but isn't work supposed to be "work" I would consider babysitting as..FUN. I don't know what I should do. Any ideas?? I really need some HELPFUL ideas.
Thanks so much. I don't want this question to be a waste of 5 points. I don't know if I should babysit, (I don't have anyone yet) or work at a movie theater or something..
