I've asked this question before and got both a yes and a no. It seems that realtors responded with a yes and individualls responded with a no. I found the property and this is not our first house. I am also a very good negotiator on price.

1. What would a realtor bring to the table for me that would earn them 3% - approx. $20,000?

2. Is it true that the seller has already signed a contract with their realtor agreeing to pay them 6% to be split with the buyer's realtor no matter what...meaning if the buyer doesn't use a realtor that the seller's realtor gets to keep the full 6% thereby not giving the buyer any additional leverage on price?

A relative of mine has stopped paying his various credit cards. He owes over $10,000 and has reached a point he can no longer afford to pay even the minimum payment on his cards so has decided to just stop paying. His reply is, "man what are they going to do, I am a small fry and they can not send me to debtors prison"

What will really happen to him and have you ever stopped paying on your credit cards?

MBIA has a Janurary 20 call that offers 14.8% Time Value and 15% Downside Protection. This seems to good to be true so it probably is. What must one look at when you find large Time Value in the current months calls. I am writing covered calls as an investment strategy.

I had a great job in summer but had to leave for college. My manager told me I am welcome to come back, and they do hire me. But, whenever I leave, they take me off the books and this erases my vacation hours and any chance for a raise. My question is, is this legal? Is there any kind of job protection for college students?

My policy lists lesser of actual or stated value. I have full coverage, can anyone tell me what will this actually cover.
This is listed under comprehensive and collision. Does this coverage include any loss to the car?
I went to the insurance agency yesterday, and the idiot agent couldn't answer any of my questions/concerns. Instead she gave me a number to call, the same number which I already had. I've tried calling them, and they keep transferring me back and forth to different departments.
My question is, if my car is Totaled/stolen/flooded which happens a lot in my area. With the information listed on my policy will I get the amount actually listed. I need to be sure I have sufficient coverage. Thanks in advance for your advice.

I work for this agency and they only pay be $7/hour to take care of seniors at home....mostly companionship types of things. Anyway, I found out that they agency actually charges these people $16/hour! I want to branch out and do this on my own....any ideas on how to get a client? I just really need one regular client....then I could make the hours convieniant for myself AND get paid a decent living??? Plus I wouldn't ask them for that much an hour....I just need something for the next couple of years to get myself through nursing school. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated...Happy Holidays

Made offer of $50 thousand on house, so I can get bank loan.
House listed for $49,900. In purchase agreement< I ask for closing cost plus if inspection shows need repairs. Seller will cover cost. Got a counter offer that if inspection doesn't pass. Seller is out and that seller will pay closing cost,. However. The asking price would change to $52,900.
Is the seller giving me a red flag on the repairs. My realtor says Go For It. It will only increase the payment by 6 to $12 a month over 30 years.
The closing cost are going to be around $2,600 with Interest rate at 6%. I feel like the realtor is working against me. Help!!

Why do people in the ghetto think that have to act and behave in a destructive manner?

In NYC, the New York City Housing Authority buildings are absolute hellish!

Cheap rent does not mean destructive behavior or does it?

What is your view?

I woke this morning and had 4 e-mails from western union saying my profile had been changed I needed to call for my transaction and that the transaction had been declined. I called them and they said the money was trying to be sent to someone I dont know many states away for $81. It was declined and I closed my Western Union account but I was still concerned. They gave me the last 4 digits of the credit card that was tried to use and I don't have 1 with these numbers. I quick checked my free credit report and there wasn't anything fishy with that. Could have this been some sort of mix up with someone with the same name as me?

I was living in my first home, built in 1922, and of course I had Allstate's homeowners insurance. Now that I've moved to another house, I'm renting my previous home and I get a letter from Allstate saying they're dropping my "Landlord package coverage" on the old house because "the age of my rental property makes it ineligible for the Replacement Cost policy."

Nothing I can do there if they choose not to cover it, but isn't there multiple companies out there who would like my business, even though I now rent out my older home, instead of it being my primary residence?

This is kind of upsetting because now I need to find another company for that property, or maybe I'll switch from Allstate all together!!

Any advice/suggestions/options???

Thanks

If I'm applying for a computer programming job, should I include my sports experience? If yes, what should I write? e.g. should I write "2.5 years of Judo", or "Judo brown belt"?

First of all I think we can all agree that our "for profit" system we have now, must and will be replaced. Now, how about this?
1. All workers will pay in let's say 2% of our paychecks(automatically deducted) each week.
2. Our employers match this with another 2% .
3. The Federal government pays in another 2%
Total 6% each week that will go into a separate group health insurance fund. Separate from the federal budget; separate account all together.

That way we all pay the same PERCENTAGE each week regardless of income. We all know nothing is free, but this way the workers, business and government would in pay equally. Of course the rich would pay more (their fair share) and the poor would pay less (there fair share). To cover all of our health care and prescription drug coverage. And since we all contribute into it, it could not be called socialism or free health care.

We could call it something like the American Triad Health Insurance Plan.

I got swindled over the phone to subscribe to a bunch of magazines for $30 a month (i never signed anything), gave them my debit card information so they can deduct from it every month.

Lost the debit card a couple months ago, now they keep calling and calling and calling trying to get my new debit card information. But I never answer their phone calls.

anyway, I owe them about $140. My question is.....

Will I get in trouble if i keep ignoring them?

by trouble, I mean, will I get sued or get bad credit?
(they don't have any credit info on me, just a phone number and address)

I was in the process of buying a property and our offer expired. I was not very happy with my agent's performance on this offer due to numerous reasons. I never signed a contract with the agent and I am thinking of using another agent to put another offer on the same property. When our intial offer expired, I did not hear from my agent and I think he got the hint that I would not use him again. Any advice out there?
