No. Paystubs do not have all of the information needed to file a tax return properly. For example, most paystubs don't have the employer's FEIN, nor do they have the amounts and codes from boxes 7 throuth 14 on the Form W-2. There is also the possibility that the final paystub is incorrect and won't match the W-2. If that happened, you would be required to file an amended return.

The IRS can send you copies, but not until months from now. Just wait until you get them from your employer. Can you go pick up a copy from them? Did you put in a change of address when you moved? If so they should be forwarded. Whoever told you that you could file with just an ein number is clueless.

There is no rush, since the IRS will not accept any e-files until sometime in Feb this year.
