On the middle of interview someone asking me on that question.

You should explain why you want that particular job - this is a good opportunity to show that you know about the company (or took the time to research it) and how their hiring you would benefit the company.

If you say you need the job, it shows that you are taking the job for employment only, not a career, and would not be a good risk. Companies invest a lot in training new employees and don't want to hire someone that might leave as soon as a better offer comes along

Ask yourself this question: If you don't really want the job...why should they hire you, instead of someone who does want the job?

Want. Shows you picked the job you wanted, not just something for the money.
