Most of the ones that find you via a spam email are scams.

For more legitimate things, there is buying and selling on ebay or similar sites. It's probably best if you have some local sources of items not widely available elsewhere (or something you make yourself) or some expertise in some type of item that you can profit by buying it cheaply at say a garage sale knowing you can sell it for more.

If you have a high-quality scanner, especially a negative screen, or a film reader, you can advertise on local noticeboards that you will digitise people's old print photos, videotapes, etc. A lot of people want to have these in digital format. Similarly if you can rip and burn off vinyl or cassette tape or reel-to-reel, people often want to put their old music online.

I've checked out quite a few and even paid for some. They all have been a scam as far as my experience with on-line work at home programs are concerned. Be cautious of what you might find. Remember, if it sounds to good to be true, then it probably is.

Good luck
