I just asked some questions if I should leave my current job for a video store. About 99% (including me) say I should make the change.

I was looking at the application and I have two areas that I need some advice first.

First, is says are you currently employed? Yes, I am, at Taco Bell. I'm not a big fan of it and want to change. But the part I'm concerned about is "Can we Contact Your Current Employer?"

I want to say no, just in case I don't get the vid store job, taco bell wont be mad. But if I check no, will this hurt my chances?

And two, they ask if I would be "willing to relocate?" I again want to say no (I'm only 16), but really want this job.

So what should I do for these two sections of the application?

By the way, in the Two Weeks Notice I give taco Bell if I get hired, I'm gonna say I have to quit due to school or a spring sport (so if I don't like the new job, I could come back).

We bought a forclosed home, and there were no light fixtures, and all of the shelving & everything was stripped out of the house. There were no appliances. The neighbor claimed that the bank came by with a flatbed truck & tore all the shelving out of the garage a cpl. wks. bbefore we moved in. However, there was no shelving in there a month before we moved in b/c we had saw it. I don't think a bank would come by & want to take light fixtures and shelving out of a forclosed home before selling it, would they? I am thinking that the neighbors took everything out of here. They were also acting really funny during the times we came to look at the house before we moved in, they were very snoopy and rude and would park in our driveway & have their friends as well. They also threw all their leaves in our yard. Would a bank take things out? I don;t see what they would want w/ shelving! I am aware that I can't proove anything or so anything about it, I am just wondering.

I love my job. I've been there for over 3 years. Me & my co-workers have fun working together, and we are considered to be a top-notch sales team. People outside our company say I am great to work with, and I do an exceptional job.

But the head of our department is at odds with me. When I first came here, people warned me he was a bad boss, but I decided to give him a chance. My good work earned a thank you card from him for a great sales presentation I made.

There have been blowups between him and others. In the past year, many from our dept. quit because of him. This summer, I found a Dilbert comic that reminded me of him. He found it, confronted me. I apologized & it hasn't happened since. But later, he kept bringing it up in meetings. Today, I just got an annual review, and mostly all he talked about was that comic, and I'm now "untrustworthy" & "non-conforming." But then, some of my co-workers got bad reviews from him today, too. We can't ALL suck!

Time to job hunt?

I'm 16 and I started working part-time at Mcdonalds at the end of October and I hate it. The pay is bad and I hardly got any trianing so everyone is always angry with me all the time because I don't actually know what I'm doing. The only reason I got a job there was because I couldn't get a job anywhere else so I thought if I just put up with it for a while I could quit and use that as experience on my resume and get a job i actually want. So my question is how long should i work there so it looks like significant experience on my resume? If i quit at the beginning of January next year it would look like I'd worked there for 4 months or should I wait until march so it looks like 6 months or should i wait even longer..ugh. Also how exactly should I go about quitting keeping in mind that the manager and i aren't exactly best friends ( she talks to me in the voice my parents used when i poured milk into the VCR when i was six)

My mom recently went to the hospital. Now she has about 32000.00 in bills from them. She wants to set up payment as she lives on a fixed income. The hospital is trying to tell her that they will take my house that I live in and will be passed on to me and my kids when she passes away and it was my grandmas before then. It is still in her name but they are trying to force her to sell to get all the money now which means I and my kids will be out of a house a family heirloom. Can the hospital force her to sell or take over her house ? I told her as long as she pays at least 100.00 a month they can't do anything other than try to report her to credit agencies. Also I told her we should go ahead and make the title switch to me so we can ensure nothing will happen. Can anyone give me advice? What can we do legally and what can the hospital do?

Some of my former coworkers and supervisors, who have began working since the creation of this company in 1996, are leaving for other jobs. As an part-time employee of 4 plus years, should I be concerned? Is this considered something normal? Do you think that there is something that I do not know?
