I just received a money order. I'm not sure if she filled it out correctly. In the Pay to the Order of - she put my name (good). Underneath where it says Purchaser, Signer of Drawer and Address - she left it blank. Was she supposed to sign this to be valid? If so, there is no way I can send this back - can I just sign it for her?

She's started getting letters from credit card companies for cards, when she's always been rejected before. She's never had a credit card and doesn't qualify for one. She's on disability and can't work. Nothing has changed in years. Think her identy has been stolen? What steps should she take to check things out?

The apartment's rent is $750 a month...I'm living with 2 other roommates, so we are dividing that cost three ways. We'll each owe $250 a month...plus electric ($35 - $50 a month), plus cable t.v. ($30 - $40 a month), plus WiFi internet ($30 - $40 a month). So all together, each of us will owe around $275 a month, roughly.

I make $32,000 a year before taxes and health insurance...I make a $250 car payment per month, and car insurance is $1000 (+ or -) for 6 months.

This is my first time renting (I'm 20), so I want to be sure that I can afford this apartment.

I'm buying a new house! I close on Monday! wooo hooo! Not bad for a 26 year old and a 24 year old to be married in June.

House was appraised for $315k (originially listed for $400k a year ago), and we're paying $275k, how's that for a deal?? We got a 6% rate on our 30 yr, fixed mortgage, with 20% down, or $55,000. Not bad eh?? This is in Palm Beach County, Florida.

It will probably go down a bit more, but not much, houses are selling still way above this price, according to the past 3 months of comps, most are selling well into the mid-300's recently.

I think you gotta catch it on the way down, while it's still going down. Otherwise you will miss the botton, how can you possibly know you're at the bottom??? You don't until it's going up!!! And so are the prices, and all the desperate sellers are hopeful!! Too late, there goes your steal. Do you agree?

I don't know any programming languages, but I have 7 years of PC support (tiers 1 and 2), some at the state government level. What would I need to get certified in, or go back to school for to transition over to IT project management? Should I just start knocking out IT certifications and get my MA in Finance? Thoughts?

And do you work in a hospital or laboratory setting? Any information you could give me and with as much detail as you like to include would be great. Btw...if you're are currently a MLT student if you could let me know how the program is going for you what you like/dislike if you are finding easy or challenging and if it is interesting to you. Thanks!

A friend of mine contacted me regarding this issue because I am in human resources. I don't know how to advise her...she said in 1995, she worked at a store and obtained a stolen credit card that she gave to a co worker and they ran the card up with charges. They got caught and it was a Felony 4. She never got arrested, or went to court but instead she had to go through a diversion program and the case was dimissed. She has gotten several jobs since then. She recently applied for a HR position at an insurance company and on the application, they asked if she ever went through a diversion program and to answer the question honeslty so she said yes. They said she may be asked about the charge during the interview. I looked up her name on the clerk of courts website and it is still there as theft but it says she completed a diversion program and it was dismissed. What should she say if they ask her about the details of it?

I am being told that in a 401k the "funds" you invest in when you do fund transfers/or reallocations you are actually buying and selling those funds, is this correct? We are not able to take the money we make from it and run with it, so I fail to see the common factor in this than stocks. I feel this statement of buying and selling funds are miss leading because how can you sell something you don't have yet, or how can you buy something that is based on stock market price not what someone is selling as. ???
Please help me understand.

Ok, first off I am a hard worker at every job that I have ever had and have never pulled any kind of stuff like this before.

So I've been at this retail job for a few months, and as some of you may know, that in retail business, taking any days off around christmas is like a snow ball's chance in hell. My girl friend's family has invited me to visit Hawaii for christmas! I live in Alabama....and am not very well traveled, and to get the chance to go to Hawaii or continue my 7 dollar an hour job, isn't much of a hard decision.

*My question is, what big excuse can I use to not have to come in for awhile, I will eventually just never go back of course, but I might want to use them as a reference later on.

(side note)Also there is this other guy I work with who basically, me and him have the exact same job there and he seems to ALWAYS have some reason of not showing up to work, making me work twice as hard, and should have been fired several times, yet is still employed.

The reason I ask this is, I am a mortgage broker myself, and I have heard some really outrageous loan proposals by some of my competition, and I was curious of what exactly these other brokers have did. This way I can warn my customers if I recognize a similar scenario as yours.

Taxes are taken out first from your paycheck. Then when you buy something you are taxed by state, county, and federal sales taxes. Why the three different taxes shouldn't their just be one? Why should an employee even be taxed when the empoloyer is supposed to pay and the products are taxed ahead of time so companies should not have to pay either. Then there is property taxes do we really just rent from the government why even buy land at all there is a sales tax on that and then a yearly tax. Is that right? Then personal property tax you bought the stuff once and paid taxes on it when you bought it right so why would you have to pay it yearly? So when is it possiple to evade taxes? Is the Government really just profiting on the people and are we really just slaves to the government? So is tax evasion really possible? What are your thoughts on this?
