Taxes are taken out first from your paycheck. Then when you buy something you are taxed by state, county, and federal sales taxes. Why the three different taxes shouldn't their just be one? Why should an employee even be taxed when the empoloyer is supposed to pay and the products are taxed ahead of time so companies should not have to pay either. Then there is property taxes do we really just rent from the government why even buy land at all there is a sales tax on that and then a yearly tax. Is that right? Then personal property tax you bought the stuff once and paid taxes on it when you bought it right so why would you have to pay it yearly? So when is it possiple to evade taxes? Is the Government really just profiting on the people and are we really just slaves to the government? So is tax evasion really possible? What are your thoughts on this?

No, it is unavoidable for the reason that everything you pay for is taxed ahead of time. Double or triple tax unless your able to buy at a garage sale. It is not right that you buy land and then are taxed yearly for it. The government is just a moeny making machine and as long as moeny has value we wll be ruled by it.So in a sense we are just slaves to the government. As long as complacency rules the people we will just be slaves to the government machine.

As a technical note to the discussion, the wrong terminology is being used. Tax evasion and tax avoidance are 2 different things.

Avoiding taxes is legal. One is permitted to structure their transactions in such a way that taxes are minimized. An example of tax avoidance is a businessman choosing a business entity which allows him the most legal deductions for his particular circumstances.

Tax evasion, on the other hand, is illegal. An example would be a businessman intentionally underreporting his income and/or overstating his deductions.

Yes. If you work and get paid in cash and keep the money at home then you can very easily avoid taxes simply tell IRS you're not working. This is made especially easier if you are an illegal immigrant working off the books in the US... illegal immigrants don't pay taxes but they are, however, eligible for US services paid for by US taxpayers such as medical costs, prescription drugs, worker's compensation, etc.

It is hard for someone receiving a paycheck to evade taxes. However, many people own businesses and many of those businesses receive cash. For them it is easy (but illegal) to avoid income taxes. Also, many in the underground economy, drug dealers and such do not report their income and thereby evade taxes. So for many, tax evasion is posssible.

there is no federal sales tax - you don't pay sales tax on land, you do pay transfer taxes when you buy/sell and annual real estate taxes - which are related to the town, county and school district - different taxes support different levels of government - state, local, federal
