I have this first job and it is okay for me to work, but the time i'ii be working is bothering me. My morning shift is the first job, and the evening shift is my second job.I want to work at both jobs but the shifts i have now is so thight that I will have to leave one out. What do you think?

I keep hearing that it is so hard to get a good job and even harder when you have something like this hanging over your head. I am 34, working on my bachelors, and have changed my whole life around. Is interest on a CD taxed in the year it's accrued, or the year the it matures?

For Example, if I buy a 6 month CD now (September '07) will some of the interest have to be claimed on my 2007 taxes, or will it all be on my 2008 tax return?

My fico score is 660. I'm a 24 year old full time college student and have no major debt. How can I raise my score? I have a car lease that I pay on time every month, a gas card, capital one card and a Dell card for my computer. I pay off my credit card and gas card in full each month. My Dell card I make payments on time each month.

What else can I do to raise my score??

I need someone with real management skills or who owns a business to help with this one, please. My husband and I own a restaurant and recently hired a new manager. In cooperation with my husband, I trained this person but am primarily responsible for managing him. When I find him doing something incorrectly, I will correct him. Within minutes, he goes to my husband to complain about what I did. I have managed people for years and have developed a relatively good management style but I have never had this type of thing happen. It's like he's a child and trying to get what he wants by going to Dad because Mom said no. Any ideas on how to handle this?

I work for a O.T.B in new york.It is a politically driven job.Depending on what party is the majority in the county thats who runs otb.About two years ago the the tables turned and power changed and NOBODY got a raise.They also took away overtime,if you work on a holiday there is no time and a half and not even a cost of living raise.Also im not forced to do political work its but its looked down upon if i dont and the hopes of a merit raise goes out the door.So no matter what i do for otb doesnt count its what i do politcally that does .Being connected to someone political helps your sallary as well, but good luck if your not.The scale of pay is either fantastic or not guess what side im on?Is this legal to operate a company like this?If i want to complain,i have no union or a relative in politics to protect me and they would fire me just like that.

I have recently graduated from college and plan to move to another state. It is difficult to job search from out of state, but without a job, it is almost impossible to get approved for an apartment. A co-signer is not an option. I have savings to pay the rent for several months, a year if necessary, and in my field, it typically takes less than one month to find a job. We are opening our first small childrens boutique and I am wondering if it is worth the money to hire someone to help layout the space and do the interior decorating. This will be about a $2000 cost probably and that is money I can put towards other things. We are on a budget and I want to do things myself if I can. I have been told the deeds go to alliance and leicester as they gave me my mortgage. Am i meant to receive something to state the house is officially mine?
