UK money and US money is like the same right ??
like £5 and $5.00

Not quite!

As far as I know, the British Pound Sterling is worth about twice as much as the U.S. Dollar, give or take a few pennies...

Not on your life! The British pound is worth double that of the US dollar. If you plan on going abroad, pull out a recent copy of either the NY Times or Wall Street Journal and go to the currency section. It will show you all the exchange rates of every currency in the world against the dollar and against each other. Specifically, for the dollar vs. the pound it will show how many dollars are needed to purchase 1 pound and vice versa. Finally, remember when you buy another currency, there is a conversion fee, which can run fron 1% to 3.5%.

Nope, they have different values. £5 is worth a lot more than $5.00
