i'm working in a real estate company as a receptionist & i was recently offered a job in a different company offering a base salary that is 20% higher than my current rate. i was already decided on resigning but my boss told me that he'll be nedding a Marketing Coordinator soon & i'm being considered (i'm a Marketing Management degree holder). that opportunity was the main reason i stayed in the company. that happened barely 2 weeks ago. today i found out that the company recently hired a Mktg Coordinator and i'm stuck as a receptionist! now i feel stupid! what am i going to do????

I'm pretty sure everyone can relate to this. It seems in every area of the country the local TV ads will always include one or more that are so agrivating you can't reach the mute button fast enough. There are more than a few on cable too.

Tell about the worst one in your area, and whether or not it has turned you off from ever dealing with that business.

I was not looking for another job, but I was recently approached by a former colleague and was offered a better paying job. I was only hired at my current job a month ago, although I've been with the company a total of 9 years (I quit in 2004 and was rehired this past June). What do I do?

I think in terms of etiquette, I should turn the job offer down, but financially, I could really use that extra money.

is getting a degree really that important?

I have heard from a real story...
This person Mr A, who have worked in the industry for a no. of years and is very experienced but he only has a diploma and the upper management position is never opened to him for years...

There comes this fresh graduate with honours and was immediately offered a upper management position...

Why is that so? I thought experience is something that is very important which will determine one's career advancement? Not not the piece of paper?

But did the employers consider the fact that the honours graduate may be academic smart but may not be worldly-wise.enough for their company?

How would i go about purchasing cheap, but reliable, barcodes, barcode scanners ans software?

Ok, i have a small business with many different items. They are all labeled by hand which makes things quite disorganized. So i want to put barcodes on all my items so when some one purchase an item i can just scan it so it says what item was sold and how many.

i had a car repo 7 years ago and they are just now contacting me and harrassing me about it. i owed 11,000 dollars then, and now they say i owe 18,000 dollars. i haven't heard from them in about 4 years until now. my ex husband was the co signer on it, and i divorced him in 2000. My husband has a criminal background. He was charged with marijuana possesion (no convictions, just charges) 4 years ago, now no one will allow him to rent an apartment because they all do criminal background checks. When he tells them upfront about it, they say that most likely his application will be rejected. The problem is that if we rent only in my name, I don't really make enough to qualify alone. The apartment we're in now is too small and we were only able to get it because they accept people based on their credit, not their income. This is like the only place in Chicago that doesn't have an income requirement. Plus a lot of buildings, like the one we're in now have those "do not copy keys", so we are stuck with 1 key between the two of us. What can we do?

I am only 12 and I need to make $125.00 before August 1st. So let's say I need that much by July 25th. Anyway, after that I will need to make $65.00 monthly so I can continue the program I am paying for. I do not want to do surveys, get paid for emails, or babysit, tutor or whatever. I f you know how I can get really amazing business doing these things, I will consider them. The law office Wolpoff & Abramson, L.L.P. is claiming that I owe $7671.92... It says if I don't pay, I will be sued. It claims it is representing Best Buy, and the only thing I have purchased from there is a laptop, which I paid for on the spot...(It was not even $1,000!) I have no idea what it's about and don't know who to contact. There is a number on the letter but I would like to contact some other place before I contact them... Who do I contact?? I'm lost on this...Please help!

Do employers have to give employees mileage reimbursement for using their personal vehicle for work? If an employer agrees to the reimbursement, can they reimburse any amount they want or are they required to pay a minimum "standard" amount?

I am new at being on a credit card. I was told that I have good credit (thankfully). But my credit card company, Capital One, I hear is a bad company, that they rip teenagers off. I have noticed some things on my statements that I don't like. What are some better credit card companies? And is Capital One really all that bad? I mean, I've heard that they are getting sued.
