ive been looking into this as well. i do know though for some colleges you need a grade 12 english and a grade 12 textiles(sewing) class. then again it all depends on the college itself. and of course if you want to become a good designer it takes a lot of hard work and time, it doesnt come right away. look into it some more, and look up some colleges.
good luck!!!

There are many good fashion colleges, especially in New York (do a search for Project Runway for the excellent fashion college there.) One of the most important elements in a career in fashion is the ability to sew, very well. If you don't already know how to sew, go to a community college near you and get into their program.

New York and Paris are the 2 destinations for fashion designers, so it will be competitive, but worth it! Go for it!

persistence is the variety one key to turning out to be to be a useful trend dressmaker. Many are called, yet few are chosen. that's solid to appreciate various crafts, yet understand what your strengths are and concentration on them. do no longer concentration on your weak point. If stitching isn't your potential, it somewhat is wonderful, for the reason which you've somebody do this for you. concentration on your drawing and designing skills. come across a solid college. evaluate each and every probability as a stepping stone. you could not be a superb dressmaker over night. that's a technique that is composed of self-discipline and frustrating artwork and a superb kind of success. having pronounced that, solid success to you!
