If you tell the IRS that you'll pay back in full plus any back taxes, does your name get cleared of any offense & live your free life or is there a mandatory jail time?

I lost a trial and the defense attorney filed for attorney's fees for $100,000. My lawyer filed motion to dismiss and they soon dropped the motion for attorney's fees.

But the judge presiding over the case is a nutjob. She scolded my lawyer for filing the case (even though it was 100% legit) and pretty much tried to persuade the defense to refile for attorney's fees, even though the 60-day window has passed.

Here's my question: so if the defense re-files for attorney's fees and prevails, what legal recourse do I have???? The judge is a real nutjob and she even admitted in court to not even reading over our motions!!!!!!

So what can I do if that happens? Is there a way to overturn it on the grounds that she overstepped her bounds by encouraging the defense to refile and not do it within 60 days?????? Shouldn't she be disbarred for such a thing???? What are my chances I can prevail??? (THIS IS IN LA COUNTY, CA, USA)

My lawyer's away so can't ask him = (

Someone wants to buy a set of books that I can't figure out how much they weigh because I don't have a scale yet. I charged 5.99 for US, what would it be for Canada? What's the low and the high to be safe? She needs to know quick.
Also, how do you change the shipping for one person? Do you wait until she wins then change it in the invoice or what? I need specifics please!!!

Me and my husband had a rocky start but after years of working on it we finally have it together....We now have 3 children and pay outrageous rent. Does any one know of a bank that works with low credit scores as far as home loans or credit cards....we make excellent money. All the bad in our credit reports are 5 plus years old. We have never had a credit card and figured that if we could get someone to give us one we could get something positive showing on our credit. We would also like to know about any first home buyers programs out there for people like us! Any advise/suggestions??

Be it a bakery, a restaurant, or a catering business. Just wondering what the laws are that I have been unable to find. I know in some states you can if you have separate cooking facilities. Please answer with facts. I have quite a bit of experience in the restaurant industry, but not enough money to buy a new location. If you ask a question as an answer, I will try to answer it with a reply, so check back.

A business partner (well, ex- actually, to all intents & purposes) just will not play ball. I have offered him stuff but he has refused, I have tried to establish what he sees as the facts but he won't tell me, I give him my version of events and he simply refuses to enter into a dialogue.

I will spare you the details but rest assured (please believe me just for the purposes of answering the question) he is most definitely in the wrong and I can prove that. But I cannot move on with my life until we have resolved this.

To cut a long story short, he neglected his duties, and abandoned both the business and myself in our greatest time of need. I know people like this have a habit of rearing their ugly head years down the line just as you thought you'd built everything back up again, so I want to avoid this from happening.

Any suggestions as to routes I can take? Bear in mind I am completely penniless, and I mean COMPLETELY!

Today I had a full-court press interview with pretty much everyone in a company I'm looking at. The CEO, CMO, CFO all started with me, then I was passed on to a 4-person peer-level panel, then I made a presentation attended by these 7 plus an additional 7 or 8 others to whom I was never introduced.

So to whom do I write my thank you?

My coworker is a partier. She always has to follow her friends. My friends this , my friends that. My friends wanted to go so i went. my friends wanted to drink so we drank. She's an alcoholic by theway.. she says she always goes to drink. I can't count how many times she keeps saying when she goes out with friends, it is for drinking.

Anyways, so far she's gotten out of work early or all day long for things such as Have to go help my friend move( what the??? ), have to go to friends graduation( oh man),
have to get out early because it's my birthday.

What the f**? IF you're serious about work, wouldn't you leave those kind of things for later? In the 5 months we've been here working.. She's left or beenabsent from work for so many days for those kind of reasons. while i only went 2 times to the doctor.

Everyone always says i need a suit for interviews.
What if it's too hot for suits?
Don't some people wear khaki pants & short sleeved shirts?
Do some guys wear short sleeved dress shirts or light colored slacks?

I've seen it in a few movies and some youtube videos.

I have just started interviewing.. 2 recruiters, (No calls yet after a week and a half) I did have an interview today.. (they solicited me) Todays interview was TAG team and after 20 minutes of standard questions, the "corporate" representative starts to look around as if she is BORED!! The other interviewer asked a few more questions and then asks "corporate" if she has any other questions for me. She replies "All Set" in a very snippy way. (putting it nicely) Ok, so, they arent interested, right?? Then why does interviewer #1 ask for my email address to send me the job description?? THEN she says, "If you dont hear from me in about 2 weeks, give me a call."

This question is long winded, and two fold, sorry, but I dont get why potential employers cant just say.. " I am sorry, we are looking for...... Thank you for your time." Anyone? Anyone?

Also, do recruiters actually help you??

I shouldn't be worrying so much about this,I am only 16 years old.

But seeing how the people surround me fail to be successful in life and struggle so much due to bad credit, etc.

What are the main things you think I should know in order to maintain a good credit, perhaps besides paying all your payments on time or should that be the only thing i should be concern of?

I just want to feel prepared,I guess..

Well no one at the bank "National City" knows when I will get my money back. The branch that I purchased the money order and put a stop payment, said 6th months, another branch said 30 days. I talked to the branch manager and he did not know. Anyone know?
