If you are at a computer then just be going to lots of sites, reading, typing, etc.
If you aren't then make sure you have stuff in your hands or flip through a book or something like you're looking for something or need to put something away.
And always have a reason for what you are doing, so if the boss does come, then you can give him that reason. Make sure its a good one though.

Pretend to be busy at work? Perhaps you need to look around for something to do, ask your boss, Supervisor if there is anything else you can do. This will show them you can complete your set duties and show initiative of learning more by asking if there is anything else you can do. Make sure all of your work is done before asking though.
Pretending to be busy is a lot harder to do as it makes the day longer than actual working.

Don't pretend, get busy. If there is nothing for you to do at work, they don't really need you. When they company decides it has too many people, you want to be the person they keep. Acting busy on the computer could backfire. Most companies are capable of monitoring everything you do on their computers. If you don't want your boss to know what you are doing, you shouldn't be doing it at work.

no way!only way is to be your own boss. only bosses can pretend very busy by doing nothing just to walk around.

look attentitve. when the boss approaches you move and make yourself busy
apprach them at times, they hate that.
