Business & Finance - 13 June 2007

I sent $3K for a down payment to purchase vending machines and locations to a vending business. I never received my machines and the locations were not in my area so I asked for my refund. Now I can't get a hold of anyone at the company. I made a complaint with the FTC and BBB. I also made a complaint about the company to the finance company they use and the Finance company can't get a hold of anyone either. I don't know what else to do if I can't get a hold of anyone.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Please help.

I just heard from one place that I went for interview. I thought I did great but she just inform me that I didn't get the job. I'm kind of feeling down now. I do great in my interview yet I don't get the job. I'm starting to lose my confidence. I been unemployed for 3 months. I have in these past 3 month got some job offers but I didn't like the job so I didn't take it. Nor I search a lot for jobs. I had a interview yesterday but I called and cancelled it and asked to go today and she called but I never return her call nor I feel like it now after hearing the bad news. What should I do. The last place I didn't get the job should I email her to get some feedback. What should I write? Should I go to interview today and call her even through i'm feeling very down


The new interview is at place I don't want to work. I don't like the company nor the job. Even through i'm down should i still go? But I know i hate that job. The job suck, the pay sucks but then its better nothing

How soon after your first mortgage payment can you refinance your home? 1 year? 3 years? 5 years?

I'm unsure of the variables so here is a sample scenario.

$350,000 home. 10% initially put down ($35,000)
30 Year fixed mortgage + PMI

I work in Charlotte, NC. I have been on one insurance plan for the past year. It was our annual enrollment period during the month of May. I get a new insurance provider card in the mail this past weekend on June 9th that says it's effective since June 1st.....yet I've been given no notice by my employer of the switch, nor have I been asked to sign anything or given the option to review the plan or make changes to my coverage. I haven't even received a booklet with the new coverage data. Neither has any other employee here!

Is there a law protecting my rights for this?
Where can I find information or who can I contact?

my daughter and her husband rented this old gross trailer. They were in desperate need of a place to move and they felt they could fix it up.. They had mold in the walls , no shower, and carpet that was so bad I can't even explain. The blind were falling off and the floors were nasty. We helped them clean it up and fix every thing all we asked the landlord to do was repair the shower and check the electrical cause it kept going out. They fixed the shower but days later it leaked everywhere and still does they said they would have someone out to check the wiring and they didn't so had someone and they said it was sparking inside the walls and had to turn off all outlets. This has been 3 weeks now. Still no power or shower.. They havent cashed the rent check I sent them. Now last night he said he will have to make the place unlivable and they will have to move and the only thing he is willing to give them back is june rent. They have lease till Sept. What should we do???

I stupidly agreed to have 3 mortgages in my name for a friend, Let properties for investment purposes. There has ben shortfalls on payments in my account so all accounts have fallen into arrears and there has been LOTS of letters on my doorstep. I managed to get all arrears upto date recently.
Suddenley they are back in arrears. He has agreed to sell 2 properties but it's taking a while.
The other property i have to make 1 payment to clear arrears then I want to change to interest only. I have to call the company and change to a buy to let product. However I don't want it in my name anymore. What can I do? Can I sign property over to him via a solicitor? I don't want anymore letters comign to my house it's driving me insane.
