I sent $3K for a down payment to purchase vending machines and locations to a vending business. I never received my machines and the locations were not in my area so I asked for my refund. Now I can't get a hold of anyone at the company. I made a complaint with the FTC and BBB. I also made a complaint about the company to the finance company they use and the Finance company can't get a hold of anyone either. I don't know what else to do if I can't get a hold of anyone.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Please help.
Thank you!

BBB will not be able to help you get your money back. They're just a non profit that only posts complaints of people against certain companies -- but they have no teeth and no mandate to run after companies.

If you paid by credit card, it may be easier for you to get your money back by simply requesting for a dispute and letting your card company know that you did not receive what you bought.

Otherwise, your only bet to get your money back is to sue the company -- assuming you can get hold of someone -- in a small claims court.

when you contacted the BBB, did you go to their website to see if this company is on their list? it's it's not, you will be the first one to post a complaint. it's always wise to check with them first before making a big spending like that. but i've heard of the vending machine gig... it may be a hoax and a scam... spread the word about what happened with you to prevent it from happening with anyone else. good luck trying to get your $$ back! ooo... get the tv news stations after them if they are located in your state lol

You can suit them, it doesn't mattter that you don't live in the area where this company is, you would need to talk to an attorney that lives in that area, and have him represent yo. As you know every state has their own laws, so make sure you do get some one that practices in the area where the company was created. Also talk to an attorney in your area, maybe there are options from the distance.
Currently I am with this at-home company, in the contract it sasy that if we go on to any type of litigations, I would have to solve it in their state (Idaho)...read whatever paperwork you signed from them all the fine prints! it really helps ..as annoying as it may be.
Next time go with some one who you can check in BBB first, dont ck them out after you have joined!

Most banks have insurance that can cover that sort of thing.
Just let then know that you want to reverse the charges due to fraud. They'll probably ask for you to fax them the info so they can add it to your file and their insurance claim.
Happened to me and all turned out well.

go to the company law board / registrar of companies. As per company law, you can claim disolution (shut down) of the company..

Did you check them out thoroughly BEFORE you gave them money? How do you know if they are a legitimate business? You may be out of luck.
