I'm majoring in aerospace engineering (main career objective) and history, but am considering ditching history for a minor in statistics. Which would look better to employers, a minor in a skill directly involved with the work or another complete bachelor's degree that proves that i'm well-rounded?

I have got this job offer from Texas which is an "at-will" contract. Now I am expecting more better offers to come in next week. However, this employer wants me to make a decision on the offer within this week. Is it possible that even after signing the offer letter I can choose not to join that firm, just because I am getting a better offer elsewhere?

I'm thinking of majoring in history, but am not sure how the job outlook is. I talked to a counselor, but he really didn't give much hope.

What are my rights when my employer bounced my paycheck last week? I live paycheck to paycheck so now my checking account is in chaos. Who is responsible for all those fees and the fees that are charged to me by the stores where the checks bounced? I have a decent credit rating and I'm afraid that my employer will inadvertenly ruin my score.

I ran out of space in my first question and would like to continue here with clerical/secretarial interview questions.

Your boss gives you a project to do and wants it done asap. Another co-worker gives you something to do and says it is urgent that this is done immediately. What would you do?

What's preventing website owners from getting together in groups to click the ads on each other's websites? The clicks would not all come from the same place, so the advertiser would not be able to track them. The only thing I can think of is that the clicks per impression would be suspiciously high.

Why do employers hate it so much if an employee has their wages garnished? Wage garnishment should only be an inconvenience and burden to the individual person being garnished, and not the company. Yet, it seems like employers try to avoid garnished employees, like vampires avoid sunlight. Why are employers so apprehensive about garnishment?

I have several years experience in the clerical/secretarial field. I am confident with my office & computer skills. I am a very good employee when I finally get the job, and have been told by many co-workers and supervisors how good I am. However, I am lousy during the job interviews, can't think of the simpliest answers, panic, go blank, look like an idiot. When I leave and get in the car, I think of answers I should have said that would have been brilliant, but, of course, it's too late. I am a calm, intellegent person when I am working, but panic during the interview.

A few samples:

We are interviewing several people who have skills we are looking for. Why should we hire you?

What did you find difficult in your last job, and how did you overcome it?

What would you do if your boss gave you an assignment that you had no experience in doing?

How do you prioritize your workload?

Your co-worker is not doing their job and is frequently late. What would you do?
