I always thought you were qualified or not qualified?

Employers hesitate to hire people whos qualifications are much greater than the job requires for several reasons:
1. they are afraid the person will think he knows it all already and not be open to learning.
2. They are worried that the position will not be challenging enough and they will soon have to hire for the position again when you leave.
3. They are worried that you are only taking the position until you can find the one that you really want and they will have to hire for the position again when you leave.
4. They are worried that you will want more money than they can pay and again - you will leave.
