The Eau is where I went to get housing. I ended up on section 8 but there is also links there to get you into the projects. http://www.nyc.gov/html/dhs/html/homeless/famserv.shtml
Even though you may not be on the verge of being homeless like I was, you can still check on this site to see if there are any links that will take you to housing website. Have a good one.
