I am starting a personal debt counseling business later this year, to help general consumers make a plan to get their financial lives under control. This is not the type of business that consolidates your debts for you- so you don't have to worry that I won't be responsible with your money or mess things up worse for you. I meet with you, analyze your debt, create a customized budget for you, teach you about how to improve your credit score and how to avoid future problems, etc. Is this a service you think is valuable? Does $100 for 3 sessions, including customized plans and analysis, seem reasonable? Any suggestions on how to make people understand how I'm different from the other credit counseling services?

My husband has a well paying job and we do not really need the income but I want to remain independent and I would be bored staying home once kids are school age. I need to work from home because I do not want my kids coming home to an empty house or having to live on take out, so I am desperately trying to find a solution. I just need to know if Ebay is the way to go?.

About a year ago, I purchased an item from a website in the USA and had the item returned to the merchant by the post office due to exorbitant duty charges. After receiving the item back, the merchant has refused to refund my money even though they agreed to do that once the item was received. It has now been a year and no refund yet. What can I do to get my money back? It is the principle that matters to me.

By means of neat and clean in appearance, like if they have no body odor, their hair is styled and cut, for men they have short hair and either clean-shaven or their facial hair is neatly trimmed and for women their legs are shaven as well as other miscellaneous.

I file my taxes on the tenth. They were accepted on the fifteenth and I was told that the money would be deposited in my bank account on the 26th. When I got this notification, I made arrangements to purchase a car on that date. Now, when I check my refund status it says I should get my money by the 30th.
I'm wondering if anyone who knows about this sort of thing could tell me if I should try to change the arrangements with the person I'm buying the car from to meet after the 30th, or do you think the money will still be deposited on the 26th? I don't want to have to call them to tell them the money might not be there that day unless I have to because I don't want them to get mad and sell the car to somebody else.

I moved last janaury right out of college for a job(250 miles) and then in July moved back because my contract was finished. Is there a way I can claim some of that on my taxes? Does it being a contract job matter in any way? Thank you

Of course its difficult to know the exact figure, so if you are not sure just mention how much you or your friends are earning.

I moved with my husband who is in the military. Right now I am working full time. And during the fall 2007 semester I will start going to college full time. My parents don't know that I am married (I know, I know-don't judge me), and I don't want them to find out for a while. What do I need to do tax-wise to keep them from finding out this year? And is there any other way for them to find out?

Last year, I bought a 2nd home, but my mom took out a Home Equity Loan on her home and used that money to purchase my 2nd home. I paid her monthly Interest payments, so she did not spend a penny of her own money. (the whole loan was just a temporary thing as I was waiting to sell my 1st home, so I paid off her Home Equity Loan after a few months once I sold my 1st home).

Can I deduct the interest on this Home Equity Loan?

We live in the States but are planning on marrying in Africa. Problem is I'm worried about our finances. Although we both work and together earn a decent income, I'm thinking maybe we should consolidate our credit bills first, pay them off and sort of, have a fresh start. Or should we get a loan to help with our wedding expenses? We're also saving and the families will pitch in but we would like some financial advice that will leave us with a peace of mind, any ideas?

I bought a house two years ago and have had problem after problem. I know the owners previous were aware, they lived in the house for 11 years, but I am not sure the law or if i can prove it. I read our contract for sale, and it seems to me i have a case, but can't afford to pursue unless i can win b/c we have over 20,000 in repairs necessary. Most expensive- leaky basement that is finished. It had to leak b/f it was finished, as we have not changed anything. 2 bathrooms with leaks that were fixed but subfloor and some beams rotted- one caused black mold (toxic). Mold in the upstairs ducts caused my baby and one cat to be sick a whole year until we had the ducts inspected and found it- b/c of a leaky compressor in the ac. Floors torn out and subfloors cut out and replaced. Ant infestation- more than I have ever seen- took arrow 6+ visits to get under control. How do i prove/can I prove they knew about it if they signed the disclosure saying there were not any of these issues?
