In california, do you get any compensation from injured at work (never out of work) and being discharged without permanent disability. Does the company give you money? I went to the wc doctor's for about 3 months for my injury - I was able to go to work everyday. I am just wondering if I get any compensation for my time and on the job injury - even though it did not cause permanent disability. thanks

I work in the banking industry and it seems almost none of the companies provide a traditional pension plan anymore. Everyone has a 401K but no one has a defined benefit plan. Maybe Bank of America does. Does you company have a plan and if you are one of the few how good is the plan?

im 17 and i work my mom doesnt work so no one can claim my brother and he is 14, we leave in the same house, and because my mom doesnt work i give her some of my money. i wanted to know if i can claim my brother as a dependant, since i the money i give my mom is usually being used on my brother???

i also was wondering if i can put myself as a dependant since i am under age and no one else can claim me either????

I am getting married soon, and my old photography teacher is willing to take the pictures for a low cost and give me a cd with all the pictures on it. Now, it is a lot cheaper, but i notice that the more profession photographers cost +10x as much, but they can make an album called a coffehouse album, and one photographer even has a super small (less than wallet sized) album that it adorable. Does anyone have any idea where i could get these albums made with regular pictures i have? I want good quality, but i don't want to spend a couple thousands just to get the photographer to do it.

About a year ago I got a bill for an unpaid council tax bill (1988 poll tax).
We come to an agreement that a direct debit would come out of my current account of £80.00 per month.
However, last November I did not pay it, very short of cash that month and took moneys out of my account before the direct debit was due.
2nd week into December I got a letter stating that a detachment of earings was issued. and they can take up to 17% of my net income(wages).
I've just had my wage slip for Jan and they have taken £453 off my wages. which is a hell of a lot more than 17%.
I am now in a position this month where all I can pay is my rent and a few other little things.
I'm basically broke, no money to pay my loan and for food, gas electric e.t.c..
I spoke to HR and they said there were two D O Earning taken out on me, one I Knew nothing about.

Can they do this?

I have recently read about a mining company in Australia that is mining a rare type of natural earth commodity. The natural resource product is being bought in large quantities by China.
The stock was up over 10% on Friday on a volume of approximately 360,000 to over $1.00 a share. Is looking further into these announcements worth the time and due diligence?
Or is it in all liklihood the same old pump and dump? Do some individuals become wealthy by seeking out exceptional opportunities in penny stocks?

Curious,... i am on the verge of buy an ETF stock and noticed it had an MER% of 0.50%....How does this get applied to my purchase...do i get charged this at the end of the year or when i buy into the ETF?

And same goes with the Mutual Fund...how does the MER% fee get applied..when do i pay the amount and how?
